I really dig those jazz runs.. I'm trying to pick-up some jazz influence because it's really holding my attention. So far I've really gotten into Joe Pass. Anyway, would you mind pointing me in the direction of your jazz influences? If it's your own stuff then cool and sorry for being presumptuous.
long fingers. tried to do the thing starting at 0:35 ... impossible to reach from the 8th fret to the 15th.... what are you matejsu... some kind of alien ?!?
That's not really theory as much as its just experience. Sure theory comes into it knowing the notes and all, but reading a book doesn't always help you play like that! I don't think hendrix read theory :P Although I could be wrong!
lol... That's a very weird statement. First of all: pickups aren't cheaper the less output they have. Some people prefer singlecoils. Just because they don't have as much output as humbuckers, it doesn't make them worse or better. It a matter of use and taste. And locking trem isn't something everybody wants. It annoys some (including myself) that you have to unlock all kinds of stuff to change a string - and besides it looks hidious IMO..
And last of all: 1000$ is not a lot for a guitar...
Well if you want to play metal I wouldn't suggest a strat. Sure, Dave Murray pulled it off and so have others, but I just don't think its a good place to start if you just want to play metal.
None of these things is really a drawback so talking about justifying them isn't probably completely appropriate. I myself am mainly a Les Paul person but I think Strats are very cool and very well done. There has been some concern regarding feeling of the new 2008 models but try for yourself, maybe get a vintage one instead. It all depends on one thing - do you like the sound? Because no other guitar will sound the same
if you guys want to play stuff like that study music!! hes outlining arpeggios and triads and modal scales and diminished scaled and combining them with pentatonic blues and rock licks. playing the licks is not that hard, but understanding how they fit is not easy. if you study your scales you can do that kind of stuff

if you are a blues guitarist, then yes, I would say strats are "worth it."
EG6collector 2 years ago
Are strats as good as everyone says? I couldn't justify paying 1000 + for a bolt-on guitar, no locking trem, and single coils.
ShastaPwns 2 years ago

soren650 2 years ago
Well i primarily play Metal. So i prefer a high-output pickup (Such as EMGs, Duncan Blackouts etc.)
Also i know 1000 isn't a lot for a guitar, (or any instrument) but as a poor high-school kid 1000 bucks is a LOT to me.
ShastaPwns 2 years ago 4
you can find mex strats for around 400 as well is epiphones for around the same. i'm low budget too. i bought my strat for 500 a few months ago.

damnn isnt that strat like $5000?
Timb0tr0n 3 years ago
no you can usually pickup late 70s Strats in decent shape for $1000-4000,the newer the cheaper obviously.
