Apart from some level of censorship, YouTube could and should be regarded in relation to Wittgenstein's Tractatus.
The development of intercultural/-social media has ''risen outside, above, beyond the dimensions of ordinary space, time, and casuistry" by enhancing ever broader growing exchange of Ideas (itself being a creating force).
@nikamota those ae only aspects of a truth. ultimate truth is knowing the self and how that effects and works with all other things and beings, nothing is seperate nothing works in isolation
@nikamota well if somthing worked in total isolation, how would you be awear of it? or how could you be awear of it? in truth you could not, in effect anything that works in total isolation does not exist in our universe. other wise it would in effect influence some part of that universe, even things we are not consious of effect us, just because we are not awear of it does not mean it does not exist.
Music that opens the hidden doors, you know, the ones that the church, the controlling media, the mass are all in denial of, never the less are there for all to enter, if we seek it. Mc.kenna R.I.P.
boss drum was the first album i bought on cassette. i used to love this track and still remember most of the words haha! i wonder what influence listening to this had on the development of my young mind!
just listen to that beautiful intro on the arp 2600, the waffle in the background is purely incidental. sends one into a trance at 6:40s. illegal substances not required on this one!
This was the best of all the tracks that featured TMcK - and I think the first. After this, ten thousand and one bad psy trance tracks sampled Terence McKenna, it must surely now rank #1 in all cardinal sins of trance production....
get out of here, you are as your are. A shaman above all others would know what he truly is. If you mean his definition of it would differ to the point of meaning a different thing than I think you're just nitpicking.
These are omega times(the end of an era rather than of everything)omega times-the mayan calender ends on dec21st 2012 only as its the end of a significant period of time and the start of a new era the more we raise our conciousness the more we can expect to access a new level of awareness the start of a golden age
Whatever you think of the message, this was a top 5 hit in the UK singles charts! I mean, how COOL was THAT?
Can you imagine the listeners on the Radio 1 chart show listening to this? They would be bewildered by what is being said.
Just as you were...
Listen to what Mckenna is saying in this track, his words are very visual it causes you to start imagining, and what he is saying is that we will become more aware of our environment,of ourselves and what our role is as human beings. This is from 1992
Sure, they would be bewildered. I just don't agree with what the words are saying, but I agree that they are nice to listen to which probably part of the appeal. And I didn't know that this was a singles hit. Was it really?
Become part of this Gaian Supermind. I mean I think it's fairly profound, it's fairly Apocalyptic. History is ending. I mean we are to be the generation that witnesses the Revelation of the purpose of the Cosmos. History is the shock wave of the Eschaton.
History is the shock wave of Eschatology. And what this means for those of us who will live through this transition into Hyperspace is that we will be privileged to see the greatest release of Concressed Change probably since the birth of the Universe.
The twentieth Century is the shutter that announces the approaching Cataracts of Time over which our Species and the destiny of this Planet is about to be swept.
The emphasis in House music and rave culture on physiologically compatible rhythms, and this sort of thing, is really the re- discovery of the art of Natural Magic with sound.
That sound, properly understood, especially percussive sound, can actually change neurological states, and large groups of people getting together in the presence of this kind of music
and pointing us in an entirely different direction; that we are going to arrive in the Third Millennium in the middle of an Archaic revival which will mean a revival of these physiologically empowering rhythm signatures, a new Art, a new Social Vision, a new relationship to Nature, to Feminism, to Ego.
Listened to this on a walkman back in the day whilst on a flight back from Munich...After spending a week there with food poisining feely pretty trippy after not eating for a week & being on a plane flight very very surreal!!!

Welcome to Postmodern Times, a series of short animated films presenting new ideas about global consciousness and techniques for social and ecological transformation. Our first episode, "Toward 2012", introduces the project
There are no truths in what you may be talking about that can be understood by anyone, lies create more questions and more questions that do not give a straightforward answer when there should be one.
The mix was made by both The Shamen and Terence McKenna, they decided upon the loudness of the music and the voice. I hate the gay drum machine of this song, but anyway, it's a nice rap by Terence, written specifically for the song.
It's not a modern song, this is from the early ninetees, but I wouldn't call it infantile jingles. And there are loads of lectures by Terence without the music, or different music, so if you don't like this one, just keep on searching.
Loose the shit music. Just let the man speak. It doesn't need the infantile jingles. That's just an annoying distraction and it detracts from what is a very serious subject.
I like Shpongle much more too. But it's not fair to compare the two: the technology has improved a lot in the past 15 (!) years. Still, there may have never been a Shpongle had there not been The Shamen.
