  • This is why I loved when he was in offices he didn't care about being popular but what would be in our best interest! Don’t care what people think about him he is an Awesome President! I Miss his ideas, thoughts and outspoken words about God, family and Country! I am glad we still have tons of people still rooting for him! USA!!

  • Last great American President, grateful to have been alive while this man liberated 50 million people, brought dignity back to the White House and the nation, and brought the right to life to the forefront. What a great man indeed, God Bless President Bush!

  • WWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • strikeanote........what a fool. How could 9-11 be Bush's fault? He had been in office for 8 months when it happened. Your whore Clinton(s) had been President for 8 years leading up to it ! Go back under your rock.

  • Man.. I wish I was cool enough to debate politics on youtube! :(

  • He needs to teach Hussein Obama How to Pitch..and run the military

  • my dad threw the first pitch at a rangers game once a longgggggg time ago it was awsome

  • sikee cuhhzz obama just threw a pitch at the allstar game

  • Obama turned down to throw out 1st pitch on opening day 2009 in DC, instead he sent Biden to Baltimore to get booed at instead. That is what I miss about Bush, he wasnt afraid of a few boos like our current prez

  • Good point *E*. It's just that there's a difference between a true leader who appreciates the Constitution and a media created demagogue who panders for approval-and yes, apologizes. What a nightmare. Bring back George!

  • @NYVoice you weren't alive for the past 8 years were you?

  • Very much alive. Look, I feel GW got too moderate in dealing with Congress instead of sticking to core principals. He wasn't perfect . But he put America FIRST! Obama is an effective campaigner but he has an inability to govern. Obstruction is the word for Republicans, right? Well, what do yu think liberals have been for the past 40 years while accomplishing nothing? Both sides must come to practical solutions or else we're going to sink.

  • You think someone like Obama gives a fuck about boos? Im a 23 year old and I dont give a shit about boo's why do you think Obama is scared of anything? You're a fucking idiot. I dont even really like Obama but you just make shit up.

  • I'm glad he got cheered. Obama can go overseas and bash ALL of us and be claimed as such a "Great man."

Bush made the hard decisions when we we're attacked. Those in charge now see it that we are the problem. Turn the other cheek when the tactical nuke is detonated in Times Square.

They'll still blame Bush for another eight years.

  • Obama doesnt BASH anything, at least not the way you BASH him you fucking red. It WAS GW's fault for 911 for intruding in a holy war - Im sure you didnt know that though. Obama hasnt even had a chance to do anything yet. You are a fucking asshole.

  • I don't know if that point was directed at me, but I don't bash Obama, and I'm an independent who has voted on both sides of elections in the past. And "intruding" precisely HOW? By keeping the military bases in Saudi Arabia that their government asked us to put there in the first place? You're gonna have to explain yourself on that one. Bush had been in office for 8 months when 9/11 happened--he hadn't "intruded" anywhere at that point.

  • @strikeanote Its idiots like you that are wrong with America, 9/11 wasnt GWs fault, it was Muslim terrorists. And Obama has REALLY screwed other generations with his damn healthcare and whatnot. We need a real president again, like GW or Reagan

  • What a great man... Nothing beats that smile.

One of the greatest moments in Americans history was when Bush threw the first pitch of the one world series game.. GIVES ME CHILLS.

  • Bush rocks. He got a standing O from the crowd. I wish I could have been there.

  • Oh and that new Rangers red looks very snazzy... it was a great choice.

  • I loved that the cheers for President Bush drained out the boos. It was great to have him back at the Ballpark, and I hope he can make it out to a few games this season!

  • I didn't hear any boos. Bush is the man. I already miss him. Obama is such a embarassment. He went over seas bashing Bush and the US! Yet he praised the muslims. Seems backwards!

  • There were a few out in left-center by the visitor bullpen where I was sitting, but then people cheered louder to silence them. It worked, haha.

  • I'm not from Texas, but I read that when he was the owner of the Rangers, he generally shunned the owner's box and sat in the stands with the fans and just talked baseball with them. I wonder if he can still do that now--give some fans a memory of saying "I talked baseball with the president." I'm sure he'd like to do this, but I'm guessing his Secret Service detail won't be to wild on that.

  • He did. :) I saw and shook hands with him many times, before he was elected Governer - even got he and Bobby Valentine to sign a program on the same day.

  • He can do whatever he wants, SS is only ordered to follow him. Everyone on here is just assuming shit to make "their guy" (GW) look better. He was terrible and will always be a terrible president.

  • Not quite sure what that means, but ok, whatever.

  • i was there on the field and fuck you all that dont love that man i wish he could do another 30 years in office

  • Where were you at? Just wondering if you were holding the flag, in the Honor Band, whatever.

  • God Bless President Bush. Thank You for everything.

You are missed more and more each day.

Thanks so much for posting this!

  • You mean the entire country doesn't feel the same as New York or Berkeley? You wouldn't know it listening to the main stream media.... great clip to see for the other half of the country.

  • Well it's not quite "half"--it's more like a third right now, but that's not even the point. When Truman left office, his approval rating was lower than Bush's was, and Truman's now ranked in the top 10 of all time. There's no way of knowing what his legacy will be. This was a sweet scene though, to see people at least recognize that he actually did some good things.

  • I think everyone is forgetting that he dragged us into a war without rhyme or reason, didnt find any weapons - stayed there - still there- wasted more money than any war next to Vietnam - we are getting no where because of GWB. He set us back 8 years. Minus his AIDS work he really was a bad president with bad motives.

  • Legitimate WMD intelligence sounds like a lot of rhyme and reason to me. He prevented further 9/11's and that is monumental. I don't agree with him on everything, but if you have any respect whatsoever for historical analysis, you would recognize that it will be years before his presidency can be accurately assessed. You could be 100% right, but you could be totally wrong as well. That's what they said about Truman when he left office too. We'll know its accuracy in a generation or so
