Yo King if you expect the Kyuubi to change and cooperate with Naruto then things like the Kyuubi's attitude changing and flashbacks are necessary for that development although Kishi did overdo the flashbacks a bit but it wasn't THAT bad. And Tobi is able to use Nagato's powers but to a greater extent so the Chakra Chains just serve as a stronger bondage than the Outer Path Pain's bondage. But i agree the chapter was decent. Also Naruto has been trying to change the Kyuubi since they MET lol!

The fox has a flashback of all the YEARS he spent with Naruto, which explains the trust he has, but then people IGNORE that fact, and find the stupidest things to bitch about. Also, The Fox has Lived for hundreds of Years but ONE host says a few nice things & he turns into a puppy. The Flashback was their to emphasis a non-existing bond

@KingOfLighting Think about it this way: every person the fox has encounter since his creation has told him he's an entity of evil that needs to be sealed (Hashirama, Mito, Kushina, etc.) or a tool to be used and undeserving of respect (Madara). The fox's hatred was probably born from the mistreatment he received, and yet instead of trying to find out why he was angry people just put a leash on him for their own self-preservation. Naruto was the 1st to break that pattern.

Normally he wouldn't believe it but the flashbacks were to demonstrate how Naruto was a man of his word, proven with his actions throughout the story, even the fox can't deny it. The fox is now willing to have an open mind and see if Naruto can own up to his words as he has before.

See you said it yourself, at first "the fox hated him", but it started to change when it realized Naruto isn't a selfish asshole like the others were, that treated him like shit. You don't see the fox licking Naruto's face or Waggin' his tail, he just smiled and said a few nice words. How does that make him a puppy? lol! Looking forward to next week.

I have to agree..if Kishi had to go flashbacks fine but at least as you said condense it to no more than a page at the most. As for Kyuubi going soft on Naruto I really don't think so. The 9 tails isn't buying into the Talk-No Jutsu as easy as you think it is. What I seeing from Kyuubi is that it has watched how Naruto since childhood.. how he changed the hearts of people by just going up against near impossible odds ..and it expects Naruto to do what he always has done..to just do it.
