hmm...overlooking skyward sword.Shame on you!! lol seriously,i guess that's what happens nowadays with games being released left and right.it's not like the 90s when you had time enough time to play your favorites before moving on
Hey Steph, I really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work. I hope to start doing my own videos very soon. Don't pay attention to the haters that say you don't deserve the number of subscribers you have, you deserve each and every one.
Quick Question: I know about the PSVita coming out soon, but it's pretty pricey and only plays PSP games from the download shop. A lot of gamers say it's a waste, and others say it's awesome. I don't have any PSP console, but I want to buy one. Do you recommend I wait for the PS Vita to come out? If not, which PSP model should I purchase?
@Horsesrock1000 If you're not sure on the Vita I would just go for the PSP3000. It's less of a risk (as far as money goes) and you can find games for cheap. Good luck!
I'm really glad someone created a list of these kinda games because everyone knows of Skyrim and Zelda etc. but these are the titles i may not have known all about and i can now pick up and enjoy! thanks Steph :D
I missed out on Return to Dream Land, too. What's the gameplay like in it? As in, is it playable trying to go solo, or is it like some games where it's glaringly obvious that it's meant to be played cooperatively? I like to play solo the first time through, so that could make or break the game for me.
A fun overlooked game this year was Medieval Moves Deadmund's Quest. It used the playstation move controller so well, and shows the great functionality that the playstation move controller is capable of. If you own a playstation move, please pick up this game!
I missed out of rage too its one i plan on going back to play its looks good and the way the ai behaves in combat at least in the demo looked interesting
I highly recommend playing through Ghost Trick and Ghost party, two of my favorite games of 2011. Deus Ex was also very enjoyable. I am close to taking down Skyward Sword, I think I have about 5 hours left so I hope to finish it this week so I can focus on the 2012 releases like:
FF XIII-2, MGS HD Peace Walker, SMT Devil Survivor 2, Tales of Graces F, Bioshock Infiinte, Mass Effect 3 and The Last Story. Such an insane 2012 lineup.
My own backlog of 2011 is not a whole lot. Since August I have decided to pick games more careful and stick to the genres/series I love the most without picking up games I have doubts or 50/50 on.
Games lik Skyrim will most likely never be played by myself.
My backlog for now is Radiant Historia on the DS, Batman Arkham City on PS3, Dragon Quest VI on DS and I am waiting on price drops for Forza 4 and Assassin's Creed Revelations.
Nice video Steph! Can't believe you were near the end of Ghost Trick only to stop playing it and come back a while later and restart. Do you remember what chapter you were on when you stopped?
You know Dead Space 2 & Batman: Arkham City were 2 of my overlooked games from last year hence why I want to finish them over the next few months but FF XIII-2, Kingdoms of Amalur, Darkness II & The Last Story next month so have to wait!
The thing about not remembering where you were or had to do in that ghost game happened to me with pokemon heartgold I played it for a while and then mario kart 7 came along and I didnt know what to do great vid
i currently put 35hours into skyward sword but i must say once i got my hands on other games i just cant go back into it because i need full concentration.
Yes, I want to check out Corpse Party. I'm not into much survival horror anymore, but this has my attention. I check it out once I find my PSP. It's around here somewhere.
You and me both have LOTS of games to catch up on this year, Steph! The list goes on and on for me, but some priority games from last year that I want to get and play are Zelda SS, Saints Row The Third, Rayman Origins, Ghost Trick, LotR: War in the North...need I continue :) LOL
Good luck on catching up on the games, Steph. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Twitter or maybe even the podcast!
Have you tried Outland yet? It's downloadble on psn/xbla. It's a fun action platformer with puzzle elements and elements of Ikaruga mixed in. It really was a sleeper hit for me in 2011.
I had the same exact problem with you about deux ex . I went all stealthy then got done the by the boss.. I managed to finally kill him but I had to backtrack a bit and get better guns.
i think Deux ex could have been better .. to do with stealthy or shooting loudly .. its a bit too easy to do both... I dunno what I am saying lol.. but I think the stealthy paths are too easily laid out. You do not have to think much . You should defo try and finish it though because its pretty good at the end
@StephsTooDef Is that Deus Ex game that good? o_O I thought about getting it, but decided not to since I'm broke as hell even though I work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. T_T And Skyward Sword is an overlooked game?? LOL Anyway~ You're backlog isn't quite as bad as mine. I'm still working on Nier on the PS3 and I have a few RPG's, and Wii games like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword to start... >_<
@suiton629 Yeah Deus Ex was pretty good. It's probably a lot cheaper now so it's not as big of a risk. Skyward Sword was an overlooked game for me. I really didn't get around to playing it like I wanted to. Don't get it twisted...my backlog is pretty big but I figured if I target a few at a time it would make me feel a little better.
Did you ever beat Fable III? I'm really diggin Kirby Dreamland, fun game. My backlog is bananas too. I really need to find time to enjoy these awesome games!!!
Kirby's Adventure Wii (or Kirby's Return to Dreamland as you know it) totally blew me away! It is a total blast from the past from classic Kirby games, and the multiplayer is excellent! Also, Skyward Sword was my favourite console game of 2011 so I highly recommend you spend some time with it :D
Portal 2 and Kirby are 2 games that i also heard to be pretty good

@ShyBoy6D9 It's a Kirby game, so it's not too difficult. The multiplayer just makes it even easier. It's gameplay is like a standard Kirby title.
