Brazil produces alcohal fuel that reduce emmisions by 67% when compaired to gasoline cars its cheaper too..almost everyone that has a car in south america drives alcohal fuled cars because they save$.

they grow cane sugar, turn it into alcohal based fuel. also they use the fiber biproduct from the cane sugar to fuel the factory.. and they usually have power left over to give to the local citys

yet USA decided to put an import tax on it so its more $ than gasoline.

The video was good and mostly true, however hydrogen is a delusion. Hydrogen is not normally found in it's elemental form on earth. In order to create hydrogen we must take electricity and run it through water. Where is the energy from the electricity going to come from?

You could have actually checked some facts: Total profit isn't the issure, profit margin is. Profit margin of oil companies is just 10%, it's not really that spectacular result. So even if you took all the profits, that price would be $3 a gallon instead of $3.3. Biggest owners of oil companies are retiree funds. Actually government makes more in gasoline taxes than oil companies make from profits

You have a worldwide demand and supply (include China and India), a crude price driven by the futures market, then you have the tree-huggers preventing access to Alaska and the construction of new refineries, the production of different grades of gasoline for seasons and state requirements, then you have the Arabs stroking us, etc. Most of the fuel used in this country is for truck, rail, shipping and industry not personal. Get a bicycle.

If you want to cut their margin in half, they may as well devote all their money to a savings account and not make any gas.

That is what the oil companies tell us. and many believe them. the cost of refining and shipping the oil is not a lot. they buy the oil for 20 cents on the dollar and sell it for 80% or even more profit. minus the refining and shipping, which is not that costly, they are making a lot of profits. and if you believe that 10% margin profit, then you the and well most of the people in the world the very dumb. that is why the rich are getting away with murder literally.
