There is an old Frank Sinatra song...."Love and Marraige.....go together like a horse and carriage. You can't have one without the other." Question is this: where does one place their faith? Do they place it in the inerrant WORD, beginning with Torah and brought to a "greater understanding" as in being filled up (GR: perloo) by Christ. Or does faith disintegrate, shattered by Satan's question "Did He r.e.a.l.l.y say" as in "as far as it is translated correctly" which is a foolish idea.

This is ridiculous and historicly inaccurate. An what has this to do with Lynn Wilder? Are you trying to say that her careful study of The Bible as well as LDS church history is some sort of cover up for a milk stripping conspiracy the wilders are involved in?
No Other Gospel 6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ
@999LDS Yes, reject the different gospel. The gospel that was forced upon Christianity by the sword. The gospel that brought us slavery and lynchings in the south. Accept the restored gospel of Jesus Christ otherwise known as Mormon Christianity.
Franklin recalls, "The Lord answers my prayers through other people, just like the elders quorum who showed up at 11 p.m. the night I deployed to help my family dig out of 6 inches of water in the basement.". .
His wife and children returned home from sending him off at the airport after tearful goodbyes only to find their basement full of water. With no family nearby, Carrie reached out to her LDS neighbors in a plea for help.
@BornAgainstMormons I take it you served in Florida as well... I've stayed silent for so long because I recognize that Adam's Road serves a purpose in world.
I loved Max Blanchard very much, and that is what has kept me from speaking out about the man behind Adam's Road. But as I can tell from your comment, you too know some of what went on inside the Edgewater and throughout the mission. I don't know that I will ever break my silence but Adam's Road is NOT what they profess.
@BornAgainstMormons I'll organize my thoughts tomorrow and send you a message. I, and many others, became very close to Max, and I will always appreciate all that he did for me whilst serving my mission, but Max went rogue not long after Wesley M. White finished as Mission President and Kent W. Farnsworth entered as the new Pres. Max was very close to Pres. White, but he and Pres. Farnsworth did not see eye to eye. I haven't spoken to Max in about 3 years. There are others I want to contact.
@BornAgainstMormons I am considering contacting those I served beside who knew Max personally to make statements and stand by them. Honestly, this would be one of the hardest things I've ever done, and Max was much more than a friend to us. I am going to pray with all my heart and devote myself to fasting. If the spirit whispers that I should come forward regarding Max, I will, and I'll give you statements, pictures, letters, etc. in regards to the man behind Adam's Road.
"all of this happened over a disagreement of milk and strippings." ....Really? Have you read the complete Affidavit of Thomas Marsh, Mr. Monson? You don't think their may have been any merit to what he affirmed in his affidavit?
Not sure if Marsh 'repented', or what you mean by that. He was excommunicated for exposing Smith's plans to overtake Missouri. Marsh stayed away from the Mormon church for most of his life. However, when he was older and invalid he decided to rejoin the Brigham Young-led church and moved west to Utah. There was evidence however, that his re-baptism was performed under false pretenses.
I haven't verified if Pratt admitted that he and Marsh "made that up". If what you say is true regarding a confession from Pratt, then Marsh would have committed perjury, as he was under oath when he signed his affidavit.
Unfortunately, any of Pratt's confessions would only be considered as hear-say in a court of law. I'm not saying that Marsh didn't lie. What if there was some truth to what he testified to, but perhaps exaggerated it in his affidavit? ...
“In family life, a respectful attitude towards your spouse and children will require your commitment and selflessness. Respect challenges you to think more of another than of yourself, even when you are tired or having a bad day or feeling increased stress
He introduced the next three principles when he said, “With those three core principles as integral parts of your character, three basic practices will give you tangible experiences to better prepare you for your eternal roles and responsibilities of marriage and parenting. These are willpower, respect, and service.”
@omiolo Interesting.....most Biblical scholars would say it is faith, hope and charity. Faith in the saving power of the sacrifice of Messiah to the extent we become a new person in Christ. Hope that lives in us because He is faithful to His Word. Charity James 1:27 "to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." Not found in damages scraps of paper, but preserved to this day. Your statement is an example of anti-Biblical Mormonism.
Right now, learn to be committed by living the Honor Code completely. Develop your commitment by following through with what you've said you'll do, in your schoolwork, your church callings, and with your friends. Choose to intentionally commit to the things that matter most to you, and when you are married, your total commitment will already be a habit,” said President Wheelwright.
Mormons are so quick to accuse... what happened to "judge not lest ye be judged" or be ye therefore perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect"
Mormonism is a pharisaic system, and just like the Pharisees in the time of Jesus, when someone exposes the truth they get angry and mad, and like the Pharisees that said Jesus did His miracles by the power of the Devil, they´ll say that´s what takes people out of the church - and illustrate it using lies and myths.
The Book of Mormon is a Satanic trap that looks biblical with its 25 plagiarized chapters numerous other plagiarized verses and plagiarized stories taken from Biblical accounts. It tells you you are condemned and a servant of the devil, if you start to doubt its lies and contradictions of the Bible.
@carterfamily8903 Hmmm, plagiarized? I don't think so. I think you need to go back to high school, buddy. Plagiarism is intentional stealing of intellectual property in the form of copying someone's written works without citation. I believe that every verse and every chapter was cited properly. Also, you can never plagiarize God, because His word is free for all. Of course, you "christians" are pathetic enough to put a price on what should be free.

@omiolo "Lynn fell hard." Are you kidding? Lynn and her son Micah could not be happier finding freedom from a cult and coming to know Jesus. Maybe you should watch the video interview with she and her son, so you can see just how happy they both are.
After the conference, district president Benedict Saran Ingkon best represented the feelings of all when he said, "These two days were the happiest of my life."
He had failed to keep a promise to allow her to marry his youngest son when her first two husbands had died leaving her childless. She set a trap for him, and he leapt in with both feet.
And now to the story of Judah in Genesis 38. Judah, a widower, happened one day to see a harlot by the side of the road and stopped for a visit. He did not know that the harlot was his daughterâ€inâ€law, for she had covered her face with a veil (Gen. 38:14,15), and of course he did not know that she had been waiting for him
Leave it up to the tabloid press to exploit the Osmonds once again as they reported on the suicide of Marie Osmond's son, Michael. The Mormon Media Observer will not reprint or link to the myriad of tabloid articles filled with speculation and innuendo. Let's just say this, the kind of press coverage the suicide got in the British and American tabloids is journalism (if you can call it that) at its worst
"This shows the caliber of people in our city," Jackson said. "It's amazing to me. And our community recognizes that, too."
And it isn't the first time the community has supported Pikus-Pace. After officially making the U.S. Olympic Skeleton Team, she returned home to find her yard covered in U.S. flags.
After the parade, more than 500 friends, family and neighbors gathered at Hidden Hollow Elementary. Mayor Heather Jackson presented Pikus-Pace with Eagle Mountain's first key to the city.
The producers comments say that Lynn Wilder is pridefull, selfish and infamous?
This religion, "the lds church" is a perfect example of religious bigotry. The leaders doctrinally enslave the members and bondage, guilt and condemnation are the rules they live by. To deny Joseph Smith and accept Christ is the greatest sin of all in Mormonism. It would be fair to say from Biblical verse the leaders of this church are in big trouble with God.
More madness & masquerade in the Monson movement of Moroni.
Praise God that Lynn & her sons have gone free from this cult & counterfeit of Christianity.
Can the LDS church give God the glory due Him by worshiping Christ as the uncreated Creator of all creation? What is the point of any of their doctrinal stance or claim to authority if they do not get this right? And they wonder why they are not embraced as Christian?
This is a good quote right here: Listen to what LDS prophet Brigham Young said:
"And if any man mingle his seed with the seed of cain (blacks) the only way he could get rid of it or have salvation would be to come forward and have his head cut off and spill his blood upon the ground, it would also take the life of his children"
SALT LAKE CITY -- An average student has trouble handling two responsibilities at a time during the semester.
Try handling four.
David Foster has a demanding school schedule. He's engaged with a May wedding date. As a member of the University of Utah basketball team, he travels regularly. And he serves as president of the Latter-day Saint Athletes Association at the Salt Lake University LDS Institute of Religion.
At 7-foot-3 with a wingspan of almost 8 feet, he has a lot to juggle. But he's also committed to lifting others -- whether it's his team, fellow athletes or peers at the LDS institute.
Foster, who recently returned from a two-year Mormon mission in Charlotte, N.C., knows how to manage his time. It helped that he served as an assistant to the mission president for more than half his mission.
"We're trying to help them be able to empathize and listen to feelings as well as to accept the emotional hardships that they are going to go through," Anderson said.
In Haiti, Garrett and Anderson have helped not just the masses in general but local LDS priesthood leaders who are supervising relief efforts and trying to aid local church members. While none of the key leaders died in the quake, they are like other Haitians in losing family members, homes and employment. They have to help themselves as well as the members.
Mental and emotional health specialists responding in times of disaster are nothing new — Anderson arrived in Indonesia about four months after the deadly December 2004 tsunami. There and then, he didn't just deal with families and friends of the victims, but he spent most of his time training local specialists in knowing how to help their own people deal with the varying disaster-related emotions.

Parley Pratt, Brigham Young and other famous Mormon names appear in the books. However, the Salt Lake County recorder thinks it's probably not THE Brigham .
Mormonism, as it is called, must stand or fall on the story of Joseph Smith. He was either a prophet of God, divinely called, properly appointed and commissioned, or he was one of the biggest frauds this world has ever seen. There is no middle ground.
According to his "fruit" we know him to be the latter. He is a fraud. On another note: Anyone ever wonder why if the Book of Mormon is the word of God that the Church holds a copyright to it? Copyrights are for authors are they not?
"No Latter-day Saint, no man or woman, can say the Book of Mormon is true, and at the same time say that the Bible is untrue. If one be true, both are; and if one be false, both are false.
The "Prophet" Brigham Young
And we wonder why the LDS Church is the largest creator of Atheists among former members than any other religion in the World?
When our father Adam came into the garden of Eden, he came into it with a celestial body, and brought Eve, one of his wives, with him. He helped to make and organize this world. He is MICHAEL, the Archangel, the ANCIENT OF DAYS! about whom holy men have written and spoken—HE is our FATHER and our GOD, and the only God with whom WE have to do.
Brigham Young
Adam is God the Father? He created the Wold, came into it then kicked himself out of the Garden? Makes sense to a Moron, I mean Mormon.
"God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted Man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity, I will refute that idea, and will take away and do away the veil, so that you may see....and that he was once a man like us; yea, that God himself the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth the same as Jesus Christ himself did."
Having known the Randle family for 40 years, Studdert said he's always been impressed with Randle's dedication to the people he came to love after serving an LDS mission in Haiti.
Former missionaries to Haiti interested in joining the rescue mission should be in good health and have either construction, medical or language skills.
Thanks to Studdert's ties with the United Nations and the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. government is sanctioning their trip, which will facilitate logistics in the country, he said.
Once the team arrives, the first task is to get "Healing Hands For Haiti," the medical clinic started by Utah native Dr. Jeff Randle, functioning again, Studdert said.
Jony and Annia St. Louis visit Salt Lake City in 2005. Cory Bagley is in front of plane with Jony and Annia. Cory is a volunteer for Healing Hands for Haiti. He took them flying to see the valley, the mountains and Kennecott Copper Mine. Annia died after injuries sustained from the earthquake in Haiti in January 2010.
As Sister Call heard the news she burst out screaming.
"This just can't be happening," she recalled saying, "It just could not be so."
For some, the earthquake in Haiti is something they read in the paper or watch on a news channel. But for others — like Sister Call — the large earthquake was an upsetting blow to an area filled with people they love.
If I revealed all that has been made known to me, scarcely a man on this stand would stay with me." and "Brethren, if I were to tell you all I know of the kingdom of God, I do know that you would rise up and kill me.
"As I looked around this great city of Irvine," said Daniel L. Rasmussen, president of the Irvine California Stake, "it was very clear to me that there are many that speak only Chinese Mandarin tongue. We needed a branch in order to help people further their gospel knowledge."
"It was a little bit crazy making arrangements," Olmo said as they made sure their children, husbands, pets, jobs and church callings were taken care of from the Thursday through Tuesday they would be about 3,000 miles away.
They bought their tickets in December, many months before the Phoenix Time Out for Women event Oct. 9-10, 2009. They saved and planned for their trip, including checking airline prices almost daily to find the best deals.
I watched ONE of the Adam's Road people on a video.
It appalled me that they would use the sacred name of Jesus Christ as other people would use swear words. That name has NO meaning to them but to ATTACK others.
2 Tim 1:8-10 "So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God"
Repent you poor lost soul and proclaim Jesus Christ to the World not Joe Smith!
The real question is just who is your god? You have an angel of light squatting on top of your temple and we know who an angel of light is, so just who is your god? Is he the god that was once a man who progressed to be a god and therefore is changeable? This god your LDS Church proclaims is not the Father of Jesus Christ. Silly Mormon!
That is true. To us who have been given the gift of the Holy Ghost, we cannot fathom why the LDS would have turned away from the Bible and Jesus the Christ and turned their hearts and their minds toward Satan and his gospel of works.
Your BOM testifies of a jesus that is unknown to a Christian. Your jesus is among multiple gods, was born of a heavenly mother from a father of flesh and bone. President Hinckley said "we do not believe in the traditional Christ of Christianity. 2 Peter warns that those calling themselves "Prophets" will "bring in damnable heresies". it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do verses the Truth that by grace are ye saved through faith and not of works". You proclaim another gospel!
You are trying to convince me that you are the father of lies? I need no convincing! You have no hold over me. I belong to Jesus the Christ, the son of God the Father who is Spirit and who shares a single Deity with His Son. You belong to the god of this world and the christ which he proclaims. I have to ask: Why would Joseph Smith have stated that if he were to tell you all that he knew of the kingdom of god that his followers would rise up and kill him? If you heard the Truth you would leave?
You among many would continue to support a lie rather than accept the fact that you have been lied to and then accept Christ and repent. I can understand why you would be hoodwinked being a simple minded person....But Glen Beck? If he continues down the path that he is going he will find that those that he is exposing are connected to the leaders of the Mormon Church. Silly Mormon!
"You will never become president because I will kill you first," the letter read. The last three words were written in large letters in the center of the page.
President Hinckley became church president in 1995. He died in 2008.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — LDS Church President Gordon B. Hinckley, who died nearly two years ago, received a death threat five years before ascending to the church's highest office, according to recently released FBI files.
To let the fire go out may leave them feeling vulnerable, or humbled, or with worries that the person had not paid the price for the offense. All the while, the fire is only burning them.
In order to keep the fire going, they need to keep adding firewood or kindling, which means they need to continue to talk about it, try to get others to agree with them, watch continuously for proof or evidence to justify their feelings.
It becomes all-consuming as they keep that fire going.
I am guessing that most of us have seen this consumption in a family member or a friend, or even in ourselves. It is an ugly sight. I have seen it, and my heart breaks to watch someone consumed by their own fire.
The offense of the other is not what consumes them; it is their own fire of hatred and anger.
Why is it that you are white and not colored? Have you ever asked yourself that question? Who had anything to do with your being born into the Church and not born a Chinese or a Hindu, or a Negro? Is God such an unjust person that He would make you white and free and make a Negro CURSED under the CURSING OF CAIN that he sould not hold the Priesthood of God?...

The original manuscript is the text written down by scribes as
Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. Most of this manuscript
was destroyed by mold and water seepage. Only 28 percent of the
original is extant. The printer's manuscript is the handwritten copy
that was made to take to the printer for typesetting. It is
virtually 100 percent extant.
omiolo 1 year ago
Now published for the first time ever, the manuscripts help you
discover the original phrasing of the Book of Mormon (including
Hebrew-like expressions), provide surprising evidence on the process
by which Joseph Smith translated, and show how editors and printers
have modified the wording to make it conform to the expectations of
contemporary English readers.

"all of this happened over a disagreement of milk and strippings." ....Really? Have you read the complete Affidavit of Thomas Marsh, Mr. Monson? You don't think their may have been any merit to what he affirmed in his affidavit?
phosphorolizer 1 year ago
@phosphorolizer Did Thomas Marsh repent, drop his deceiving wife and return to the fold of Jesus Christ?
BornAgainstMormons 6 months ago
@BornAgainstMormons
There was evidence however, that his re-baptism was performed under false pretenses.
phosphorolizer 5 months ago
@phosphorolizer Orson Pratt admitted that him and Marsh made that up to extract revenge. In many ways similar to Lynn and Micah.
BornAgainstMormons 5 months ago
@BornAgainstMormons (1 of 2)
I haven't verified if Pratt admitted that he and Marsh "made that up". If what you say is true regarding a confession from Pratt, then Marsh would have committed perjury, as he was under oath when he signed his affidavit.
Unfortunately, any of Pratt's confessions would only be considered as hear-say in a court of law. I'm not saying that Marsh didn't lie. What if there was some truth to what he testified to, but perhaps exaggerated it in his affidavit? ...
phosphorolizer 4 months ago
@phosphorolizer Yes, there was much perjury going on.
