  • let me get this right; it seems like you saying the sun-spots are not actually on the sun, but are actually a sort of mirage caused by comets passing between us and the sun, and thus blocking some of its radiation from our view... is that about right?

if so then the spot should get smaller as the comet gets closer to the sun and its relative size diminishes with respect to the sun's disc.

Or have I got it completely wrong?

  • That's close. This video may make more sense now, Simon.

  • would all sunspots be observed through to the eye of the mind an the internal sun?

  • The spot is the interference the comet has on the mind as it's translated through time. (The path Earth, and therefore the mind takes through time has a spatial component which appears to us as the heavens.)

  • Look forward to the follow up video John. Will SOHO catch any images of the comet itself?

  • Wether or not SOHO picks up the comet depends on it's trajectory. If there is a CME from this active (sunspot) region, the comet should be visible on the SOHO C3 feed. NEAT may also have this object on their radar. ;-)

  • Thanks John. This comet, sunspot correlation is truly an amazing observation.

  • Hi John, Could you please elaborate more on what is the vedic view point that you are referring to of the sunspot?

  • The stories in the Rig Veda about the Panis. You can look at this video.
