I love robo-worms here in Arizona lakes. Heck in Saguaro I think most everyone uses a robo-worm drop shot rig (at least the successful anglers). And to the person that said no 5+ will bite on a drop shot rig, I have gotten 2 around 7 pounds on that rig and my buddy just got anther one that was 7 just last night.
Isnt the purple or darker side of worm supposed to be up and lighter (white) down? Nice video btw, I head drop shotting is beating the hell outta any other tecnique in coldish water lately
your quite the dumbass. i caught a 9 pound SMALLMOUTH off of South Holston on a 1/4 ounce rooster tail. Only about 2 inches long, and intended for much smaller fish. Your ideas on fish behavior are pretty warped.
nice demo, Drop shotting is deadly around northern california. You get much better action hooking the roboworm strait through the head. dont try to thread the worm, simply hook it strait through the head as close to the front as you can get it. it makes a world of differance in the action.
When I need to use the technique, I have had success, but it's not my favorite thing to do. It also works on different species besides bass, so you never know what you're going to pull up.
I tried the smelly worms, they work really good! If there's fish where you cast it, it'll bite!

bass are stupid, ive used that technique with almost anything and pulled up a fish.

In nature light colors always appear on the belly of fish and their prey. Learn to rig a worm before posting for the world.....

poor rigging job

instead of hooking it through the face, put the hook straight through the back of the head, for more swaying action.

keep it suspended, lightly shake it erratically, then let it sink, wait a few sec, repeat.
hunterfishman1 1 year ago
best way is leave weight on bottom and move worm, then every great once and a while hop or drag the weight, then repeat
gillygoat2 1 year ago
@gillygoat2 Right, Apart from what this video shows the weight should always remain on the bottom and never move from the bottom.

Drop shotting is my favorite technique when its chilly out and it works great with finnicky bass and other species
AnglerInTexas 2 years ago
You would have more sucess if you dont move the weight off the bottom. You want to shake the worm without moving the weight.

rangerboatman346 3 years ago
So how do you catch bass in the heat of summer and freeze of winter? I catch 5+ pounders all the time w/ a good drop shot rig.
crs1012 2 years ago
on a drop shot but no 5+ fish will bite a drop shot. it wont happen because they dont have any interest in small stuff.

bassfishinfever 4 years ago
i use it when it is cold but dont expect to catch any lunkers, but it will catch a lot of small ones, especially the finicky ones.
also a great sightfishing technique
