The first time that i saw Kiss was when Cheap Trick was just coming onto the scene and they opened for Kiss; 1975 or so. Destroyer had me wondering if Kiss was from Earth or Space? It totally worked for this kid.

kiss fan 30+ yrs...first time I seen them in concert was in 83" after they took the make up off. So 96" reunion tour was really cool for me. wish i could have seen them back in the 70's. Got to see paul on his solo tour in 06" . I was one of 15 people that got to go in early for sound check. That was really cool. And he played an awesome show that night at the myth" in minneapolis mn. The original 4 had better chemistry on stage etc..Still glad paul & gene have kept kiss going all these yrs

@Atreyufolife Actually , I have seen ACE live on his solo tour back in the early 90's. I waited around after the show,and was the first one to see him coming out of the back entrance to get into his minivan.(but was so star struck,I was to nervous to go up and ask him for an autograph. Then some other people noticed him and ran up to the minivan and I just kinda stood there,like duhhh) anyway I got to see ACE again on his solo tour just before Anomoly came out. Got some great pics.

From the Destroyer LP. This has become a staple of KISS shows, though it wasn't played during the Asylum Tour. I saw KISS for the first time 30 years ago. June 1979 on the Dynasty Tour at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC.

listerovsmeg: On the symphony cd, the issue was how to sync the drums to the orchestra conductor -- who would follow who? ...Peter follow conductor, or conductor follow Peter? - and how that would be accomplished. They opted for a visual cue for Peter to lock-on to conductor. Had nothing to do with ability of Criss as a drummer.

RockJim72 : I didn't say they were my favourite version of KISS ever but they are more consistant now. Peter couldn't do a 2 hour show now if he wanted to. also Peter can't even keep time. Do you have the KISS symphony dvd where he needs a screen behind his kit in order to keep proper time. I don't want you to take this wrong I love the original KISS (fan since '76 ) and have seen every member ever to play in KISS except St. John ( RIP ). I would love to see Ace back in KISS. Just not Peter.

listerovsmeg, you're right, both Erics are better than Peter - BUT, they don't have what Peter has, that jazz/swing influence, go back and listen to the albums, Peter is actually not a bad drummer.

Both Ace and Peter in there prime were about as good as Tommy and Eric are now,but they couldn't cut it in this decade,any real KISS fan knows this and if you want the proof look at there live performances and the fact that they did not play on Psycho Circus.The new KISS is consistent,professional and all 4 will play on the new album.

@bdrich - The "NEW" Kiss is boring! The two muppets out there, replacing Ace and Peter are a joke. Every REAL kiss fan know's that. NEW Kiss means new songs, no longer the classic make-up, the classic costumes and so on. Look at their live-performances? Yeah, you should take a look at Ace, he still rocks - far more than Thayer. If i take a look at the shows of the NEW Kiss - hahahaaa. Stanley said: Giving the fans what they deserve! The fans deserve Ace and Peter, not these two fraggles.

@jigglediggle29 first of all, the "muppet" on drums was in KISS before. He is Eric is honestly 400 times better than peter. He had to dumb him self down to play the orginal KISS stuff. Plus, you can;t really call somebody out when all they are playing is basic 4/4 steady beat shit. A 5 year old can play it. Same goes for thayer. Ace was slowing down KISS, he is inconsistant. Peter and Ace wanted to fuck around. Eric and Tommy Want To PLAY MUSIC!!! That what its all about anyways.

Thayer and Singer want to play music, yeah, for sure...that's why Thayer plays the exact guitarsolo that Ace played, what a great choice of playing music, very nice.

Ace is great and I love him ( can't wait for 'Anomaly' to come out) but he can be inconsistent . Peter who cares? His drumming is middle of the road when it comes to R 'n R at best. Both Eric's have drummed circles around him. This coming from a KISS fan since '76. This is the best KISS makeup band ever.
