You need either the original recording or a really good program and the CD. .WAV files (CD format) takes about 12 megabytes a minute (so 40 megs for a normal song) MP3s are about a 10th of that information, so you can fit a ton of CDs on your precious little music players, but in doing so you sacrifice quality and the ability to break the song apart.
