Someone said the run was good but the goal was 'crap' - 'the goal' is usually taken to include the run or move leading to the finish. What you mean is the finish wasn't spectacular but then it didn't need to be -Shilton committed himself and Maradona went past him leaving himself a tap in. The goal is amazing - all the more so for being in the knockout stage of a world cup - in context, almost certainly the best goal of all time.
