ariel atom 500 (withc v8) = F1 car for the road

radical < atom. anyday everyday

The 300 HP supercharged Atom 2.8sec 0-60 faster than a Ferrari Enzo or a ZR1 has 650 bhp/ton. With 500 HP we might be talking 1000+bhp/ton the Bugatti Veyron area.

Enzo is 433 HP per ton

ZR1 is 382 HP per ton

Veyron is 481 per ton

As you can see the ATOM has a better ratio already. please do not post figures unless you are sure you are at least close to being right. Cant wait to see the new atom.

ive driven my friends atom round silverstone at a track day and i gotta say an ariel DOES go 0-60 in 2.5 seconds lol, it was the drive of my life!

the GM motor put out more touque then the honda. plus if you live in the states the parts are alot cheaper and easier to find than the honda. GM = faster 0-60

Really? I havent heard that the ecotec was faster. The SC K20 puts down 300horses where as the ecotec i thought put down 245. I dont know how much torque each gets but your probably right about that bit. The K probably has more aftermarket support too. How much people will want to tinker with what Ariel did though is another question.

the ecotec with the supercharger (just like the hondas) has the same horse power. they are both 300. but the GM one has alittle more torque. the 300 honda is doing mid 2.8 seconds as the GM is said to be doing high 2.7 sec.. not that it matters that much.. im just saying if your state side get the GM cause if something breaks on the motor its going to be alot easier and cheaper to find than an import...
