  • What made Elway and Farve special is that they wouldn't have to take this hit. They would have been able to throw deep downfield without stopping to plant their feet.Everybody watch the first half of super bowl XXI as Elway scrambles away from LT, Marshall & co (in LT's prime mind you not in his 30's like here) play after play, able to launch deep downfield to his wideouts.

  • Sad thing is, this play should've never happened, Jerry Rice false starts at the bottom of the screen and the officials missed it.

  • he lead with his head should have been a penalty

  • unfortunate, this prevented what could have been a three-peat and Montana's FIFTH Super Bowl Ring. GOAT.

  • At the time, I was glad that Joe got the living crap knocked out of him...Hey, I was 13 and didn't want to see the 49'er's pass the Cowboys in SB appearances. But in retrospect, this hit changed the NFL for the next 4-5 years. The emergence of Steve Young that continued the 49'ers decade+ run.

I'm so glad they didn't win 3 SB's in a roll! (Still 13 years old at heart I guess)

  • ASSHOLE!!

  • The Giants defense during the mid-late 80s was just brutal.

  • 0:18 greatest mustache of all-time

  • Montana is a tough SOB

  • What was Steve Young doing out there right away? It was liked he was psyched to have Montana hurt so he could get playing time. Like a morbid type of ambulance chaser.

  • @WesternPAdude

montana and young were both great quarterbacks

young used to be a starter until San Francisco got him and kept him as montana's backup

and young was not used much

  • @PhyscoScorpio1621 I know, exactly. That's what I mean because it was creepy and ghoulish that Young was the first one out there when Montana got hurt.

Young's the backup QB, he's not on the medical staff, if you catch my drift....

  • LEONARD MARSHALL BITCHES!

  • Is Matt Ryan tough as Steve Deberg? I say no. Deberg played with broken finger.Yesterdays QBs and players were tougher.Emmit Smith played and rushed for 149 yards with dislocated shoulder but Adrian Peterson decides not to play with turf toe.NFL is watered down!

  • i remember this game and although i am a steelers fan i respected joe montana!!!!! i miss yesterdays nfl!!!!! no way a hit like this is legal in todays nfl!!!!!!! the quarterbacks and football players in general were tougher and played through pain!!! mark these words: the nfl in ten years time will be a shadow of the game i grew up watching and fell in love with!!!!!!!!!!

  • @standad445 Sadly I think you are 100 % right.Not real football today

  • @standad445 How was this hit illegal? It wasn't a late hit, it wasn't helmet to helmet, it wasn't below the knee, and he didn't pick him up and slam him to the ground. Just because he tackled Montana hard from the back doesn't mean it was illegal. Did you expect Marshall to lightly shove him to the ground?

  • @standad445

Also when an offensive lineman does it, he'll get away with a simple fine and that's it.

Remember that joke on that Muscle Milk commercial with Clay Matthews Jr.? Won't be long until it becomes a reality.

  • Forget stats people! Don't prove shit! NFL today is way too QB friendly and WR friendly.Years ago slow weak QBs don't make it.Today they can be stars.NFL got soft.Simms slow but tough!

  • HAHA

  • Montana's career was never the same after that hit! He may have lasted four more years, but he never played a full season after that, and with the exception of a couple of late season playoff pushes, was never the same.

  • So that is what football used to be? They actually hit each other? It's more like flag football today.

  • After the 1996 season the Giants went to the super bowl passing through San Francisco and knocked out Montana also. Montana did not have the arm strength of other quarterbacks and had no choice but stop and plant to throw downfield. Elway woulld not have to take this hit.

  • opitimizes giants defense from about 84-92 right there...Marshall on his hands and knees all heart gets up chasing montana down and kills him...best defenses ever period

  • Marshall used Boyd's OODA Loop :)

He Observed, Oriented, Decided and Acted the crap out of Montana!

  • Hooray for serious injuries!

Hooray for 350 Lb steroid apes crippling 200 lb QBs!

  • so that's how a real sack looks like,NFL got really soft

  • It is really weird watching older games without the first down lines with the score & time graphic in the corner.

  • The greatest hit in Giants history. Plain and simple

  • NOW A DAYS THE LEAGUE PROTECTS THE QUARTERBACKS TOO MUCH. THAT HIT WITH THE HELMET IN THE BACK OF MONTANA WOULD HAVE COST THE PLAYER A FINE AND MAYBE A SUSPENSION. BUT BACK THEN IT WAS JUST ANOTHER HIT.

  • Talk about determination!,Marshall was on the ground for crying out loud!,Knew Montana wouldnt return after that hit,He got smashed

  • Good lord.

  • this is the first time i can say He woulda been better being hit by LT

  • Montana is still one of the greatest ever.

  • Joe Montana > Peyton Manning

  • Joe Montana doesn't have fond memories of the Giants. I think Jim Burt also gave him a nasty hit in the Meadowlands a few years earlier.....on astroturf.

  • ...he would've been better off letting LT sack him.

  • Most people don't realize Joe Montana led Norte Dame to 2 cotton bowls and a national championship, going through Heisman trophy winner Earl Campbell in the process.

He was a prodigy. With all due respect to Bill Walsh, If he would have played for Joe Gibbs, in my opinion the best coach of the 80's, he would have won 10 Superbowls minimum 7.

  • @radar0412 10 for 10. I admire your praise, but the '83 Raiders, the'85 Bears, the '86 Giants, might disagree with that statement.

  • @Dactuck

don't leave out the 00' - 02' Oakland Raiders. That team should have been a dynasty. Fucking Al Davis must be laughing at us from down there. Just like the referees always looked out for the niners in the mid 80's the refs would religiously fuck with ANY RAIDER TEAM after that greedy jew sued the league. I hope no one thinks I hate Al Davis, I don't. I just call things the way I see them.

  • @trollercoaster17 Thank you! And what about Al Davis giving Cheatriots all these draft picks.Gave Moss for nothing

  • in my opinion, it's LT who makes the extraordinary play here. He looks like he is shot out of a

canon. Montana didn't see him because he was well behind the pack . . but he closes that 10 yards in less than a second, so Joe had to put on the brakes, rendering him an easy target.

  • The wrost hits Montana ever took. Both at the hands of the Giants. Both times the Giants went on to win Super Bowls. Back then the Superbowl literally went through Joe Montana.

He would never be a threat to win another Superbowl after this play.

He was a undersized Quaterback who led his team to 4, count em, 4 superbowls, and paid the price for being undersized along the way.

Best regular seanson Quaterback? No. But when the lights got brighter, and the stage got bigger, he was the best ever

  • @radar0412 Montana became ref friendly after 49ers crushed Dolphins in super bowl.Otherwise career would of ended sooner.I remember before 49ers destroyed Dolphins media called Montana "Super Wimp" VS "Superman" meaning Marino.Montana lucky to play for Walsh. On NFL Network, Boomer Esiason put Montana down He called him a lucky system product QB."Half the country didn't think Montana was that good anyway".Maybe Esiason thinks refs favored 49ers?Montana good system QB,Not as great as media says

  • @SOLDIER3473 As far as I know, every QB plays in a 'system' so to say that Joe Montana played in a 'QB friendly system' is really saying that the 49ers were about 10 years smarter than the rest of the league. Every QB needs good receivers, offensive line, and running back. Joe Montana was lucky enough to have many of those things and that is why he flourished to become one of the best QBs ever. I respect Marino but its funny if Esiason said that. How many rings does he have again?

  • @jaykia I NEVER SAID QB FRIENDLY SYSTEM! I SAID REF FRIENDLY MEANING REFS FAVORED MONTANA AFTER 1984 SEASON.ESIASON MUST THINK 1988 BENGALS GOT SCREWED! NFL IS RIGGED THATS WHY.MONTANA HAD SERIOUS BACK INJURY IN 1985.HIS CAREER SHOULD OF ENDED AROUND 6 YEARS SOONER.SO THEY PROTECTED HIM

  • @SOLDIER3473

    montana was great for ratings.

  • @trollercoaster17 Yes cuz NFL is good at fooling people.NFL was corrupt then.Today NFL is a complete joke. Not even real football. They taking away all the contact! Agree that Al Davis was a crook

  • @SOLDIER3473 Yeah, i agree. The tuck rule is bullshit as welll. It basicly gave the patriots the AFC championship agianst the raiders.

  • @SJG200SJG200 Yep! Also 2011 NFL season this year started on Sept. 11 2011.What could that mean? Tuck rule is BS just like "The Brady rules"

  • You notice how quickly Steve Young went out there with his helmet to check on

Momtana? Do you think he gave a damn if Montana was hurt, hell no -he was wishing

he was out so he could finally get his chance to play. He has admitted as such in NFL

Network coverage of those old games.

Leonard Marshall was a BEAST as a defensive tackle and he put it on Montana BIG TIME!

If that hit was in todays game, it would of been a 15 yard personal foul for roughing

the passer and a heavy fine in the mail.

  • Wow... you people think it's a GOOD thing for players to be unnecessarily rough? Yeah, it's football, it's a physical sport, and it's always going to come with the risk of injury, but players who played prior to many of the new safety-minded rules had serious health issues before they were 40, especially those who had concussions on a weekly basis. The quality of play shouldn't be based on how many players on the other team you can take out of the game...

  • @Hegone81 Jim McMachon has a RING on his finger.Matt Ryan won't! I think Ryan peaked. Some people might say give Ryan a 1985 Bear defense. But you can't have a defense like that with that bitch Goodell here. Also if you bring old rules back Ryan don't have the physical tools to make it.Yeah NFL is soft

  • @WOLFGANG5520 Matt Ryan would definitely be a starting QB in 1990. Come on man. You had guys out there like Rodney Peete, Steve Walsh, Steve Deberg, Stan Humphries, Bubby Brister, etc starting on teams. He's better than those guys! He's not a great QB, but jesus you over blow this. Also Jim McMahon was a passenger on that jet, so let's not assume that just because they won a Super Bowl 45-10 that he was why. We all know why they won that Super Bowl.

  • @Hegone81 Ryan not as good as QBs you just named.Your probably looking at stats.DON'T! Ryan is weak and not as tough as Deberg.McMahon could run and take a hit.Kid,learn the game before you run your mouth! Nagle would probably make todays weak baby NFL.Wake up.

  • The best part was seeing Montana on the bench the rest of the game, not knowing who he was or where he was. Obviously im glad he was ok, but he was on queer street for at least 24 hours after that.

  • I'm a Cowboys fan, and Joe Montana getting knocked the fuck out makes me smile...

  • This is the hit that keeps on giving, giving and giving.

  • Starter Jackets ..... :-)

  • lethrneck4 couldn't agree more.. this was when NFL football was bone crushing hits like this, and smash mouth football.. today, pansey rules to protect QB's like Brady, ben, and Manning.. but not Micheal Vick lol.. these lame new rules changed the game so much since then

  • @moviebuff383 Agree! NFL just did not want the Vick's and McNair's to take over game.Brady would never make it in 1980's NFL.Brady weak and no movement.Simms was slow but still had better movement than Brady and Simms was way tougher. And fools think this Brady is best thing since slice bread.NFL is soft.I miss the REAL NFL

  • @DELTAFORCE662 I agree as an 18 year old watching the old game film make me smile. These were real men playing football. This league is full of pansy ass QBs like Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady ect. that get saved by penalties... Guys like Montana, Kelly, Marino, Staubach and UNITAS were not only tough, but did amazing things in their era...

  • @dollarstorePWNRlol People don't seem to realize that Brady would be Gino Torretta if NFL stayed REAL.Matt Ryan would never be first round pick before year 2000.He don't have the physicall tools.Yeah its all bullshit now.

  • @DELTAFORCE662 Marc Wilson, Mark Malone, Rich Campbell, Art Schlichter, Jim McMahon, Todd Blackledge, Tony Eason, Ken O'Brien, Chuck Long, Vinny Testaverde, Kelly Stouffer, Chris Miller, Jim Harbaugh all first round picks in the 1980's and all worse than Matt Ryan. And Brady=Torretta? Moron. Modern rules don't mean that today's great QB's aren't still great! There's 0 correlation between the two. Watch the vids. What did those guys (Elway, Marino, etc) do that Brady and Manning don't?

  • @Hegone81 YOU DON'T KNOW FOOTBALL! Matt Ryan is pampered up you damn fool.Brady is weak.Brady would never make it before year 2000.Ryan has no mobility.Todays bullshit game you can get away with that but not before 2000.DBs used to be allowed to hit WR defenseless after WR stops his route.Just look at 1985 Bears NFL films.Brady and Manning are pampered."You can't touch Brady" is a popular saying in NFL today.Goodell ruined game.NOW SHUT UP.THINK NEXT TIME YOU DAMN FOOL!

  • @DELTAFORCE662 Why would you say mobility? Teams value mobility more now than they did then. In 1990, 2 teams had fast QB's- the Eagles and the Lions. QB's are mostly slow now, and they were slow then too. God you sound like those idiots I see in Chicago every day who bitch about the Bears not running enough, and that we shouldn't have a dome because we like "Bear weather." You sound like one of these meat-head morons. No question the NFL is softening, but these QB's are not worse.

  • @Hegone81 They are weak! O-Line are juiced up and much stronger years ago.1985 Bears you would not want to be in pocket. They did not give you 3 seconds.WRs were not open easy like you see today. If you don't have 3 seconds what can Brady do? Answer nothing! Ryan too would never make it.Today can't hit QB legs.Barely anything is allowed.Wake up you damn fool!

  • @DELTAFORCE662 Oh and Manning was the #1 pick, touted as the greatest QB prospect of all time, in 1998. So don't throw him into that equation because it's lunacy. Next you'll say Aaron Rodgers sucks too.

  • @Hegone81 You sound media influenced.Look up on shoulder pad hits on internet. They been protecting QBs like Brady and Manning since 1998.The WOLF guy is right ,wake up! Deberg was tough he took his late hits without crying like Brady.Deberg on NFL 100 Toughest players video. It came out in 1996 ,I think.

  • @DELTAFORCE662 I'm sorry but you're an idiot. Players are all significantly faster, bigger, stronger, and smarter than they ever were. You really just mentioned Phil Simms and Tom Brady in the same sentence! That just happened. Brady moves well in the pocket, just like Peyton Manning does, just like Jim Kelly did, just like Dan Marino did. To say Brady couldn't have played in the 80's is pure idiocy I'm sorry.

  • @Hegone81 YOU DON'T KNOW FOOTBALL! Brady does not move well after taking a few hits! See super bowl Cheatriots VS Giants! Brady could not move at all! Simms much tougher! I'm not saying Simms is all that cuz he's not but tougher than Brady.Brady a pussy.QBs got hammered in 1980's.Fuck Roger Goodell's new baby NFL! NFL got soft! Since 1998 NFL has been protecting QBs like Brady cuz NFL wanted every QB to have a chance.Yes players are bigger but under Goodell it don't matter.NOW SHUT UP KID!

  • @DELTAFORCE662 You right these kids have no idea what they are talking about! Brady is a bitch.Yep,just look at old NFL films and you see players hit QBs and late too and hit QBs in the legs.Carson Palmer Rule,Ty Law Rule,"Brady Rule" Yeah all this bullshit favors these weak QBs.Fuck Goodell!

  • @DELTAFORCE662 The same Phil Simms who sat out the 1991 Super Bowl because he got hurt in a playoff game? That's the one who makes Brady look like a "pussy?" Brady couldn't move in the 2008 Super Bowl because there was so much pressure. There needs to be somewhere to move to. Brady moves well IN THE POCKET. He's exceptionally good at taking a step here, a step there to make his reads. Manning is even better at it. Those two QB's (especially Manning) have every tool you could want in a QB.

  • @Hegone81 Simms much tougher than Brady and Manning.Brady hardly touched. Can't hit QB legs today.Brady can move in pocket if he is not touched! VS Giants could not move cuz he did get hit a little and he weak.I saw Simms,Deberg,Cunningham,Evertt,Aikman,Kelly take much harder shots and still they can win unlike weak Brady.Kid you are clueless about Real football.NFL IS SOFT TODAY!

  • @DELTAFORCE662 what about peyton manning

  • @Xemnort2x Manning too is way overrated. He wears a skirt too.Go to "Pussification of football" on youtube. You will see how refs favor him.Manning can't take a hit.I remember when LB Porter of Steelers said he becomes below average when you hit him a little. He would not make 1980's NFL.No way too weak.I don't care that his old man was a good QB in brutal 1970's.Manning has no movement

  • @DELTAFORCE662 are u fucking kidding me? in the NFC champ match he was hit 20times and sacked 6 times he got right back up after all those hits and eli manning never got injured in 9yr career so far and never missed a game u stupid fuk

  • @36firerahul Dopey, I was talking about the other Manning.Go to pussification of football on youtube and you see its the Colts Manning I was talking about.Giants Manning not as pampered as Brady and Colts manning but he wears a skirt too.Not officiated like the real NFL like former Giants Phill Simms.Illegalto hit Mannings legs.Thats why Manning and other QBs in skirts passed Jawroski's streak record.

  • @DELTAFORCE662

preach it like it is baby!

  • @DELTAFORCE662 To be fair, if Brady goes un touched he will burn your defenses for like 4 TD's and 500 years.

  • @sonicismybrawler yards*

  • @sonicismybrawler If players can't touch Brady its bullshit! Not real football!

  • @sonicismybrawler Brady wears a skirt! Sure with a skirt on he can throw 4TDs and 500 yards but take off that skirt Brady won't last!

  • @DELTAFORCE662 Which isnt to say he is a bad QB, just that he isnt physically as tough as someone else. He is like my height and weight lol, and Im a small guy.

  • @DELTAFORCE662 you have the IQ of a rock. /watch?v=VX73rtcm9lg

notice how Brady takes a HUGE hit, but gets up immediately with no problem. your pussy would bleed if that happened to you.

  • @Perodiqy No IQ? No, bitch you just don't know anything about football! NOW SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH BOY!

  • @DELTAFORCE662 please, take you and your welfare checks somewhere else. you're an idiot. but please, keep thumbing up your own comments with multiple accounts.

  • @Perodiqy Who you @hegone81 ? Both of you bitch on same stuff.Thumbs up your ass! You don't know anything about football anyway.People who know football know I am right todays game is bullshit! NOW SHUT UP BITCH!

  • @DELTAFORCE662 no i'm not. i don't need to make multiple accounts like you to get my point across like you.(because you're a DUMB CUNT)

  • @Perodiqy Bitch go away cuz your punk pussy knows nothing about football!

  • ..clean hit. :)

  • Steve Young the first guy on the field

  • this game was played 1 year and 11 months+ before i was born...i wish i was alive during this game. montana got owned by marshall. hopefully jpp or justin tuck kills alex smith today. go giants!!!!

  • yes, montana had some sparks of glory left in him in his final years, but this hit effectively marked the end of his greatness as we all knew it. Enter the Steve Young era.

  • I like how this feed is from Channel 3 in Hartford :)

  • never again will you see a starter/backup combo like Montana and Young. unreal

  • This ended Montana career with the Niners, he was never the same after this. Now it's payback to the Giants

  • @MrFerdell nope its a repeat tomorrow Pierre-Paul on Smith !

  • @MrFerdell Did that payback come in the form of another fumble by Kyle Williams?

  • @MrAudacity11 How dare you mention that un-holy name here. lol

  • aint no tears sucka, just hope something worse doesn't happen to bobblehead manning tomorrow

  • This was revenge for the hit to the knee on Hostetler earlier in the game.

  • I love this hit!

  • *yawns* wtf ever thanks for sharing Joe was a tough QB plain and simple we r ready for the giants!! Also thanks for sharing you like to hit from behind... hahaha We are gonna so take the giants down !!!

  • 3:54 Madden kinda draws a pussy

  • Hey Alex Smith...watch this...and BE SCARED, BE VERY SCARED.

  • @CrazzzzzzzzyLarry haha history does in fact repeat itself!

  • does anybody agree with me that this is a clean hit???

  • That was a seriously dirty tackle!

  • @myroseaccount how was that a dirty hit. it wasnt low or helmet to helmet. MAN UP

  • @godzilla1077 I diddnt say he was no good after that hit,he just wasnt the same after the hit. He still is the greatest QB in NFL history,4-0 in super bowls,3 MVP

  • roughing the passer.. 15 yards

  • Notice that back then they didn't immediately cut out to a commercial during an injury.

Watching the NFL on tv nowadays has become pure torture, especially when the commercial volume is 5 times louder than the game volume.

  • @TheDeJureTour Agreed. I recently watched a game that I videotaped back in 1991. I loved how the networks stayed with the action during timeouts and changes of possession. Watching a game these days is annoying.

  • @DonnyBoSox It's not only annoying, it feels like you've been cheated. Esp. on NFL Network.

Compared with the old days, half the game is missing by the time the last whistle is blown.

There are so many things about the modern NFL that irritate me to no end, I hardly watch any games anymore - just the highlights. Everything has become so tasteless and overhyped.

Well, we all knew it was coming, the day when mega-corporations took over every aspect of American life. Puke.

  • Revenge this week

  • Next Alex Smith will feel pain of BIG BLUE!

  • @BIGBLUE4295 like seattle right?

  • 4:29

  • Correction...Montana won 4 Superbowls but, won only 3 MVP's. Jerry Rice won the other.

  • Montana still better than any QB Giants ever had or will have. 4 SUPERBOWL MVP s

  • I remember watching this live, and after watching it again I must say that hit looks as devastating now as it did then. Ouch.

  • Had the 49ers won, would Montana have played against the Bills? There was no week off that year, so the Super Bowl was the next week. Who would have won the game San Fran or Buffalo?

  • @jtc1148 That was the only year in which the Bills played competitvely in the Superbowl before getting stomped on by the Redskins and Cowboys. I believe the Niners would have won but it would have been closer than SF vs the Bangels. The Bills can thank the NFC East for thier Superbowl nightmares though.

  • @godzilla1077 Don't forget, if the Niners won, they would have to play superbowl XXV with Steve Young at the helm. That's not bad and all but not having much reps with the offense during the season took a lot more time back then then it does today.

  • @uberfunction If 49ers won and went to the Superbowl with Steve Young, the game would have been close but I'd give the nod to the Bills if that were the case. Although it would made an interestng Steve Young story considering Young won the Superbowl vs the Chargers years later. Instead of having the monkey on his back it would have been a 600lbs gorilla.

  • @godzilla1077 I agree that the Niners would have somewhat of a good offense against the Bills but yes, the Bills would probably be at an advantage. At that time in Young's career, you couldn't compare him and Montana (not yet at least). But I was saying, if Young had to play Superbowl XXV, I don't know that he would of had a grip of that offense in a week's time. (there was no 2 week break between conference championship and Superbowl back then.) but by next season, yeah...

  • @uberfunction I remember how it was back then and yes, getting a grasp on the offense in such a short time would have been difficult. Especially with Bruce Smith and the Bills D to go up against that year.

  • Coach @2:32 is saying to his waterboy...get rid of the mullet! As a fins fan, I am pulling for Big Blue but it will be a great matchup on Sunday. If Jacobs doesn't run sideways and Cruz gets some space, the D will be in for a long day.

  • After this game Pat Summerall proclaimed " There will be no 3 peat!"

  • HOLY FUCK!!!!!!

  • In a more neutral tone.. I wonder if he was concussed. He looked like a train hit him lol

  • Guess what boys... your defense doesn't hit like that anymore. OURS DOES. G-Women are going to feel the pain! NINERS!!!!!!!!

  • As a Giants' fan the thing I get annoyed with is how history has forgotten how good the Niners defense was at the time of their dynasty. They were consistently ranked in the top 5 for years. If I remember correctly, in this 1990 season, the Niners were ranked #2 with the NYG #1. They played earlier in that season on a Monday Night slugfest where the Niners won 7-3 with John Taylor scoring the only TD.

  • This is the hit that ended montana, he was never the same after that.

  • @777rayheem He tried his stint at KC and at the time it almost looked promising. They even had one of the most memorable comebacks vs the Denver Broncos after Elway marched his team down the field for a TD. But in the playoffs, it was the Bills knocking out Montana set the tone for the rest of Joes career there after.

  • Bill Leavy just threw a flag on Leonard Marshall for "blow to the head".

  • This time Eli gets put in the ground.

  • Hell Yeah Lets go Giants!

  • Dirtbag crackhead on the sideline laughing the who time Montana on the ground

  • Giants gonna win this game, 35-17

  • @pepsiandsnapple To be fair, they also have a total of 7 championships. 4 NFL Championships and 3 Superbowls. To dismiss them would be ridiculous. The NFL Championship is exactly the same thing as the Superbowl. Look at history, no one dismisses the Packers of the 60's, the Browns of the 50's and the Bears of the 30's and 40's.

  • Last I checked the Giants had 3 Super Bowls.

  • If Marshall did that today he'd be banned for life!

  • Remember when Jim Burt Ko'D Montana at the Meadowlands? It was worse than this. So was the 49-3 win.

  • But but but they beat the saints...Yeah out side of Super Dome! The Cleveland Browns could beat the Saints outside of the Super Dome

  • 49er fans? What is this the mid-90s? Puuuhhhlllllleeeeeeaaaassseeee come on now, if the niners played in a REAL division with competitive teams, the Niners at best would be 8-8 and or 9-7 with that dead offense they have.

  • U got fuck knocked out haha rip Montana

  • RIP Alex Smith.

  • Wow. After 22 years of NFL football, this is the only thing a Giants fan can point to to give him hope for next weeks game against the 49ers. That is what I call confidence. And a LONG memory. Keep living in the past, loser Giants fan.

  • Eli's turn come Sunday.

  • Montana has more Super Bowls than the NY Giants on his broken pinky my friends. You're just lucky that Scott Norwood couldn't kick to save his life.

  • Comment removed

  • @sdizzle80 Great Grammar!

  • @cmcgui04 Niners are going to Rip Eli's head off! It's called Country Grammar.

  • Montana really thought he was gonna die. Had Marshall not slipped and hit him with a full head of steam, he very well could've killed him.

  • Not a fan of either of these teams But I will remember the name Montana long after I've forgotten the name Marshall

  • I wanna see Tuck do this to Smith!! Go Big Blue!!

  • QB protection rules have ruined football, because of them passing records that have stood for years are being crushed..this is when the game was real, QBs who succeeded back in these days are the true greats

  • @lethrneck4 better to ruin football than to ruin these guys' brains with concussions

  • Thats the Football I miss.

  • 21 years later who would have think of Giants or 49ERS will repsersent the NFC in Indie in 3 weeks

  • DEJA VU BABY GO BIG BLUE
