Hey great video, I loved this game, it brings me back. I beat the game a few times, but I was never able to get all of Hermit's forces... do you know what they are by any chance?
@johnmorisi8 Yes of course! Each force will be learned with the Force you get from eating Apples or using some Bottle to gain Force as well. #1 (become small) Requires 100 Force, #2 (Teleport) requires 200, #3 (Levitation) requires 300, #4 (Restore Life) requires 400, and #5 (Invincibility for 30 seconds) requires 500. ;)
@neatborrito huh, I see. I remember having nooo clue how to arrange the medallions and always having to see that epic failure final cut scene with the empty mountain cliff.
About 15 years ago I was playing this with my brothers and cousin and we got all the way to the very end, where we had to put the medallions in order. Of course, it's pure luck since it can be any order. We eventually used all of the 5 or so tries, and then it just said "game over." I'll never forget how angry we were. Well, I was 8 and ever since I've wondered what would have happened had I got the medallions right so thanks a ton!
You rocked, dude. It's like 17 or 18 years since I played this game on the console, and it wasn't easy for its time. I'm happy to see the ending after so many years. :-)
God I feel like a buffoon seeing how easy you beat some bosses. Usually it takes me 2 hours to beat it, which I still consider pretty good but now I see that I can beat it in about 20 minutes or so, I'll have to give it a try next time I want to bust out the old Nintendo...
Mmk, I just thought you had to defeat Pandar to get all the medallion things. I was watchin this playthrough, and I kinda kicked myself in the ass when I saw how easily you beat some bosses. I loved this game.

Thanks. Learning how everything works is easy. We just have to try everything! Sure, the first game had to be longer than the next ones, because we learned by trying stuff and making mistakes. It is a must when we start playing this kind of games. ;)
How did you figure all this stuff out?! I played this game for hours when I was a kid and I never even figured out how to buy items. This game made me insane and probably messed me up for the rest of my life. Great job on beating it though.

Ok so if you don't get all the medallions you can't stop the bomb? Is there anything to gain fighting all the governors or destroying the demon eggs?

You're right. I didn't fight it. I could have done it, as well as destroying the Eye Demon's Eggs, but it was some choices I made for this run. ;)
