Too many characters would clutter the screen and cost more money for a new series. We're going with the idea that Melinda never happened just because we believe it would destroy the brothers dynamic. Or she could have been kidnapped, killed, etc. Like I said, it would ultimately be up to the writers.

That's debatable but the spin-off most people want is about Chris and Wyatt. Having a sister in the mix would destroy the dynamic the brothers have.

The name of the show isn't and wouldn't be The Charmed Sons. The "Charmed Sons" just refers to Piper's two sons Wyatt and Chris.
