I know, im finally more than old enough to see Bottom live and there never goin to do another one. Adrain Edmonson thinks they are to old now. I would love to see the two of them do something together again though.

Much as I adore Bottom Live I agree that they're too old now...with a character like Richie you can only hate him for so long before you start to feel sorry for him and when he's like fifty and still so sad the audience can't help but pity him and, however grotesque Rik makes himself it just isn't as funny any more. I would love to see Rik and Ade working together again though!

@Harriet123P I cud never hate richie and i pity and feel sorry for him right from the beginning anyway. They probably are too old to do another one which is a fact that i just hate to accept.

As great as Rik Mayall, Marks and Gran all are, I wasn't so keen on this when I first saw it.

But then, the expectations were set substantially high with The New Statesman which, in my opinion, cannot be beaten.
