How many people a year are killed by people driving impaired under the influence of pot? I've seen stats that say only alcohol is responsible for more deaths on the road. I don't believe in legislating people's behavior when it affects themselves. Pot should be legal. But lets not pretend it's harmless.

As for the smoking thing, I guess I'm a "health Nazi" then. If you let bars allow smoking, I suspect you'd find the majority allowing it... Which means non-smokers either have to put up with it or not go out... I don't think you should have the right to inflict your pollution on other people.

I don´t mind the restaurants/bars making a no-smoking rule. But it should be the restaurants/bars making the rules, not the goverment! Let the bars make their own rules to their establishment... Then we can have smoking bars and non-smoking bars, and people can make their own choice of places to visit. What would be the problem? I hate being around smokers as long as they are smoking. But what they do outside the office is their business.

In Germany a new law passed which banned smoking from restaurants/bars. Now the smoker complain that they "cant" go eating/drinking anymore without being bothered by the rule. I have to reply with the same shit they told me when I complained about the smoke: "You don't have to go. It's your choice. If you don't like it simply stay home."
