Amuro is a awesome pilot and pretty much on the same tier as Domon and Setsuna(Although Amuro set that tier xD) but I wouldn't be surprised if he lost to Setsuna since he has Veda Terminal in his Gundam, Trans Am/Trans Am Burst, Being a ELS/Innovator/Human Hybrid, and Quantization. Even though Amuro can handle Setsuna, he couldn't outlast him since Setsuna is a more advanced human in terms of being part ELS. I don't think he would get as tired as easily. In Season 1, they fought 3 Armies at onc
OO is basically rape the first 20 episodes of season 1. Even Allelujah admited it was a bit unfair. Then they got the GN Tau Drives, then what? The Double O and OO Raiser. And when they had another Twin Drive Gundam? OO Quanta. The pilots were made to outclass a majority of the pilots in the series. Much to the fact where not only Setsuna would be a match for pilots like Amuro and Kira.
Generally the MS from 00 are better than the ones from SEED/Destiny, the 00 movie screams that outright.
Normal coordinators in grunt suits are pretty much cannon fodder, many of them are defeated by naturals. The people with SEED mode are indeed skilled pilots, although I believe a skilled true innovator would be better. Kira lost in the Strike GUNDAM to ZAKU Warriors if I recall correctly while Setsuna beat 3 GN-XIIIs with a Flag with no beam weaponry.
And secondly, when has Kira or Athrun actually defeated a stronger enemy unit with a mass-produced mobile suit? Athrun didn't last one minute with a GOUF Ignited against Shinn/Rey and did pretty poor with a ZAKU Warrior against the Gaia Gundam. Kira has never even piloted a mass-produced MS, all the MS's he piloted were Gundam-type mobile suits.
@Omegamegamanzx Kira lost to Zakus because the technological differences between the Strike Rogue(which is an upgraded Strike) and the Zaku is too much.
I rewatched that scene and did some research, that Flag Setsuna piloted had a GN Sword II Kai and he fired 3 shots which missed before firing smokescreen missiles and cutting those 3 with the GN Sword II Kai.
The flag only used the GN Sword II Kai as any other normal weapons the old Flag originally possessed were useless against the GN-XIII. Aside from the GN Sword II Kai and the smoke missiles the Flag was pretty much the same as it's original unit.The technological gap between Flag and GN-XIII is greater than the gap between ZAKU Warrior and the Strike Rogue. As a GN-XIII surpasses a 3rd generation Gundam which could easily destroy a few dozen Flags.

And the Strike Rouge is a slightly upgraded Strike(and the Strike is a prototype) made from spare parts.

Innovator Setsuna is one of THE strongest pilots in the series if not already the strongest. His experience in the first season was only in melee and he was young. However, Seed Mode is better than tTrans AM because Trans AM Is limited to a short amount of time. Also, Seed Mode gives you infinite knowledge of everything, Hax-level insticts and skillz, and extreme aim skillz that lets you spam Freedom's super aim ability.

anyone seeing how Aeolia Schenberg's at first speaks at a snail pace. Then when Setsuna is about to be killed he speaks so fast it was kinda of hard to hear.
this is one of the anime's where the english voice overs are laughably superior to the japanese ones. ali-al sanchez in the japanese dub sounds ridiculous when he's got an average voice and a physco mania look. the english guy is so much better.
Anime these days is trying too hard. They need to revert to older methods of storytelling and plot device insertion. Stories are wayyy to complicated in the newer Gundam series. At least you could follow what was going on in Zeta/007/Victory.

Char Aznable and Amuro doesn't have powerful abilities like Haman , Judau or Kamille , but their probably the best Gundam pilots in Gundam history.
Gato is an ordinary human but is dubbed the "Nightmare of Solomon".
Setsuna and his co. have major strategic experiences and that is enough to beat the crap out of anyone whom rushes into battle without thinking

However, Seed Mode is better than tTrans AM because Trans AM Is limited to a short amount of time. Also, Seed Mode gives you infinite knowledge of everything, Hax-level insticts and skillz, and extreme aim skillz that lets you spam Freedom's super aim ability.

this is one of the anime's where the english voice overs are laughably superior to the japanese ones. ali-al sanchez in the japanese dub sounds ridiculous when he's got an average voice and a physco mania look. the english guy is so much better.

Anime these days is trying too hard. They need to revert to older methods of storytelling and plot device insertion. Stories are wayyy to complicated in the newer Gundam series. At least you could follow what was going on in Zeta/007/Victory.
