Consider a step by step tutorial wherein you explain what you are doing in detail. You have talents that others can learn from, and it would be a shame not to share them in a more educational way.
How hard would it be for you to get a job at Naughty Dog or something like that? is this like one of 100 things you need to be able to do? what is the best way to get into that modding programming designing i mean it's all online right? idk if i want to go all out on a education in a school for it because i think the chance to become successful in this is very hard?
@Whinestee How is it rewarding? :) and plz awnser: do you draw on a special board with a pencil? have you gone to school for your artistic skills? if you can do this, can you get into game companies and make games? <3 thx
@EndureFocusEngageDie How is it rewarding?? Who doesn't want to work for a big game company? You don't make games yourself, you make art for games (characters, creatures, etc.) how cool is that?
I don't draw, I'm not an aspiring concept artist. And yes, yo can get a job in a game studio if you draw really really good. I mean the competition for this industry is HUGE. You've got to practice for hours and hours each day. I am going to school this fall to get a degree in Illustration.
@Blitzbok Thanks man! I too wish you the best of luck in whatever you're pursuing! Don't be put off by the amazing top talent out there. There is room in the market for everyone.
@EndureFocusEngageDie How hard? I have had a very good look at the competition, and to be honest, not many people truly perfect their craft. It's why standards are so low in this generation. But the talent is there. These facts are incentive enough to practice hard. For if you do, you cut a huge swathe of the competition in two.
@DeathMazk Very true. How can anyone dislike this video. This is video has not even got audio and I am already very interested. I wish I knew about the website selling this dvd title much earlier. I am going to save up and purchase all them. I have been looking for something like this for ages.
@chafuldifornio3 Thanks for the kind words! Wait till you see the update for this one. I redid it with ShadowBox and Remesh and added about 4 hours more of content. I'm preparing it for next month.
At 5:37 you seem to have split the mouth muscle into two for the mouth hole, how did you do that? Or was it just clipping with the skull?
Beyond that point, you seem to start merging cheek/jaw muscles into the mouth and more, seamlessly, even though they were seperate geometry, how did you do that?
I'll be happy even to just get some key words of a brush name or feature name so I can research it myself!
I'm wondering and can't find out how do you detach ZSpheres child or chain. I was looking for it in video tutorials and in the help guide but couldn't find.
amazing work, brilliant!! any chance you would be as nice to add some blood vessels and nerves to help out med students? this would be THE best way to study from! :)
lol hes not a biologist and he didnt work from a textbook! hes jus an artist thats been practicing 3d anatomy with digital sculpting. he has a good understanding of geometry and bone structures and muscles and skin, im guessing he studied anatomy his whole life, then picked up zbrush and mastered it in the 1st year
Ryan this is outstanding, but please share with us; how did you organize all those different zsphere networks on top of the skull tool and even throw in a ztool poly sphere near the end and then go back and forth sculpting them and making them appear and disappear, go active and inactive at will? Were they SUBTOOLS or were they LAYERS?
Wow! Im impressed! This is like some digital hardcore forensic shit! Why aren't you making lots of money doing that for a living! Absolutely nice work!!!!
I think this should be the common practice for creating the realistic faces. We need a tool to generate the mesh, uv unwrap and rig(kind of facerobot)out of such models.
Geez Ryan, youre out front again! I stumbled on this and can't believe I missed it. You once again raise the bar. Never seen anything like that with the disconnected Zspheres.
For those of you blown away as I am this guy just did a full-on intro to Zbrush tut disc for Gnomon which is probably the best I've seen, get it- you won't be sorry. Congrats mate, keep up the amazing work!
you are half man, half amazing, im a beginner in zbrush, and what you just showed represents all the thing im trying to learn how to do in it, pixelogic classroom is good and all, but i didnt see any tutorials that even scratch the surface of the techniques i just saw. ive been wondering how to cover holes in imported 3d meshes, looks like i have my answer, now to learn it. great job
very nice work! I had no idea you could model entirely in zbrush. I'm going to try modeling something simple in there once i finish this head I did in maya. zbrush is my new favorite program!

Kudos to your skills.
It could be easier if only the program could have a collision between a soft material against a hard one.

How did you create separate zsphere chains off one zsphere? Try as I might, I cannot figure out how you pulled those all out of that one zsphere.
