I won't knock your beliefs, because I do believe that there is a higher power. However, I do not believe that I have to follow one path over another. It is my opinion that all paths will eventually lead to the same place. That's all well and good, however you still don't address the fundamental fact that God (or whatever you call the infinite being) is supposed to be beyond mortal definition. You, by saying that the Quran is the only way, have now put God into a finite box and made him mortal, and therefore fallable, just like the mortal man who wrote the Quran, and all the other mortals who wrote the other holy books.

1) CONSENT of both parties.
2) "Mahr" - a gift from the groom to the bride.
3) Witnesses.
4) The marriage should be publicized. (It should never be kept secret as this can lead to suspicion and troubles within the community.)

If Muhammad(pbuh), was truly preaching d worship of a "moon god" to his companions, he wud hve certainly placed d images of d "Crescent Moon" (or rther of the "Full Moon" 2signify d greater glory), on d Mosques that he & his immediate followers had built in Madina&Macca!

@viktermore My friend, you don't understand arabic and it's allegorical phrases. You have to understand that some verses are meant to be allegorically but not literally understood, and that Allah didn't speak to the sky and it replied.

@viktermore No my friend, Allah orders us in The Holy Quran to defend ourselves and not to start war against others UNLESS others declare war against us. And all of those extremist muslims that kill Innocent people (non-believers or believers) they are sinned and didn't understand the true message in The Holy Quran.

@viktermore Nope I didn't say that, actually, there isn't any allegorical phrases in the Quran about the ordering to kill non-believers if they declare war, it is a very direct order, anyone would understand it quickly, but all what i say is that muslims who kill innocents are wrong and it's not the Quran's fault.

@viktermore This verse was for specific event for prophet Muhammad(pbuh). Please read the same Surah (altawbah) from verse 120, you'll clearly see that Allah is talking to the prophet, which means these verses are just for the prophet and Allah ordered him to apply it at his days. Special event.

Are you saying that Muhammad was told to kill unbeliever that were around him in time of Muhammad?
Why was it necessary? Couldn't something else be done in peaceful way instead of fighting people?

@viktermore Yes, read the tafseer of these verses. At that time (when the verse was revealed), Islam was new, and all of non-believers started to attack the prophet saying "You want us to leave what our grand fathers used to worship" and they fought the prophet and his followers, in al madina city. That my friend is was against Islam, and there would be no other way but fight back. Peace becomes after war, when they surrender. Because they started war, we had to fight. PLZ read my other comment

First: That verse clearly says to kill unbelievers. It doesn't say that only unbelievers that make wars should be killed. It doesn't have that type of restriction. It just says unbelievers.
Second: Why do you think [9:123] doesn't apply to our time? How do you know which verses apply to our time and which to Muhammad time?
