At some point in this lecture he endorses psychedelics and talks about how he had an experience of cosmic consciousness on LSD. I agree that TMK was a bigger advocate of psychedelics and didn't talk much about spiritual practice outside of that realm. But nothing that Alan Watts says about psychedelics is disingenuous or false, he has his own view, as should everyone.

think old alan may have taken too many psychedEEElics, and smoked too much canAAbis! but the combination of such a great scholar and a willingness to explore chemicals certainly created an amazing mind. this guy is the man, a real inspiration to me. this world needs more like him.
