The constant cocking of the weapons is the most retarded thing I've ever seen in an FPS game. And this isn't the only game guilty of that. It's only exacerbated by the controller's mind-pull attack which makes you put your weapon down every time so when you bring it back into action you cock it again which is just the lamest thing ever. It severely detracts from an otherwise excellent gaming experience.
I'm absolutely with you on that. GSC got really retarded with Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. Aside from disabling the pistol sights in Clear Sky, they also jacked up the line-of-sight on most weapons in both Clear Sky and CoP. The SPAS-12, for example. The sights don't line up with the center of your screen. The muzzle is tilted up. The sawed-off is just awful. All the reload animations are wrong. All the weapons start out weak and worthless so upgrading is mandatory. It's just a disaster.
