For all you NON musician genius types, I NEVER listened to Journey for Perry. It was Schon and Rollie. I am a musician and I am NEVER impressed with the singer so much that I will quite listening when they change. Except for Ronnie James Dio & Mark Farner, I have no favorites. This guy is a great singer even if you do not like him as much> And he pretty much has the mimic of perry down. Not perfect, but close enough. Why not try it yourself if you don't like him? Heh. Yeah, thats what I thought.
I love journey but what the chances that you can find so increadable in a bar in texas at night right before you go and tell the public your cancelling the tour and people say theres no god.

As for this band doing the non stop Journey randition I lost ALL respect for the band after they bailed on Steve Perry.
He was going to do the reunion tour and cracked some ribs in a climbing accident...Neil was so up tight he hired the first impersenator to go on tour, he was a Pauly Shaw look alike whom was fired after the tour ended.
I can hear the asian accent in every song, he sucks...Bring back S.P..

The last real album/cd they did together before going back in time and hiring the wana bees all in the name for money was Trial by Fire...Pretty good stuff and Steve's voiced aged but still sounds WAY better than the china man hacking his classics.
@JBL8863 Agreed! 78-81 Steve had the cleanest, clearest voice. It wasn't AGE that destroyed his voice, it was overuse and the white powder. lol. Still, his 1984-1996 raspy voice was still WAY better than Arnel

I've watched their DVD concert..I think Journey is abusing his voice,,,Is it normal for a band to play 25 songs nonstop in just one night???,,hahaha...Arnel is amazing that even from the first song until the last song..his voice energy and quality didn't changed ,,,lol

I had gone off of Journey, still listened to them, but they weren't exactly one of my favourite bands anymore.
However, when I heard they were playing live at Download Festival, I had to watch them. Arnel Pineda sung phenomenally, and it reinvigorated my love for this band! Good jobs guys, keep it up.
Sure Perry is untouchable.. the guy is a true legend! But Journey already was a band befored he joined, so there's nothing wrong on keep the flame burning! Perry is god, but Augeri was great and Pineda is a very good singer too!
