  • Does this work with Mid-2010 Macbook Pro 17-inch with Lion?

  • @modernwize There's an issue with Mac OS X that Apple is aware of but has not fixed yet. Mac OS does not detect the EDID information properly and unable to provide the proper resolution for 2 x 1080p

  • I'm interested in getting one of these for my MBP (late 2011 model.)

I will only need to use it with Windows 7 which is running via bootcamp.

    Will dual screening work?

  • @nishypmusic It works fine in Windows 7, the two displays have to have matching resolutions and will appear as a single spanned desktop.

  • I currently have a GTX 560 multiview that allows me to have 3 displays (using my 2 HDMI ports and 1 DVI).

If I plug this on my DPI port, can I have 4 displays? Also, a question to the diplays connected on the HDMI adapter; will they be joined (3840x1080) resolution as well? Or will they be independent?

  • I'm using this product with my Macbook Pro 15 early 2011. I'm very satisfied with the image/graphics quality. The only problem that I have and I'm looking to fix it somehow is that the adapter actually handles the two displays as one single display at the resolution of 3840x1080p so they are not really two displays. Does someone know an app to split desktops by software rather than by hardware? This would be really smooth.

  • @SPAMHD I have the same "problem" with a iMac, it works great running all three screens, imac aus 1920x1080 , but the other two are running in 3840x1080 instead auf 2x1920x1080. There must be a way to force OS X to split these?

  • can you say, when or if the product will be running on OSX-Platforms?

    And another Question:

Is it technically possible to have a Macbook Pro 13" early 2011 (With only integrated grafics using Intel HD 3000) with your adaptor using 2 seperate external monitors? i wouldn't mind, when the internal screen will not be working when 2 external displays are attached. i think about using my macbook as kind of a desktop with 2 screens und seperate mouse and keyboard.

  • Is it possible to use it under OSX at all? Also is there an expected release date yet?

  • @Skyria At the moment, it does not work under Mac OSX. It should be available at retailers this week.

  • Can I use this to have 3 monitors? 2 DVI and 1 HDMI HDTV?

  • @Xrick56 You can have it to have two 1920x1080 DVI displays using DVI to HDMI cables connected to the DP to Dual HDMI adapter and have your TV connected to the onboard DVI or HDMI output - what video card were you going to try to run?

  • @ZOTACglobal

    6870

  • @Xrick56 Not sure than, we've only tested it with our own NVIDIA-based hardware and AMD-based motherboards.

  • Do you plan to build a Mac compatible version ?

  • @5VDC From our testing, OSX has issues detecting the EDID and providing the proper resolution (3840x1080). It will only work via bootcamp at the moment.

  • This a good idea, I'm sure it will become quite popular.

  • Brand Handbags From 2011brandhandbags store At Low Prices

Have a look in the 2011brandhandbags store for some interesting links to the area.

  • are you able to use 3 displays on ONE nvidia card with that O:?

  • @re4pt0x You can use three monitors using one output on the card with the dual HDMI adaptor on the second output.

  • Hehe..."productivity," hehe. Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

  • @bkd69ster actually if your in the field of design..kinda is..or if your a music editor...or a market analyst..depends really on the way you use your pc...but i do agree it really does pass on just as a gaming thing. good thing i would be using it both for work and play..sad thing is=i cant afford to buy more monitors

  • @bkd69ster Unfortunately we can't market it for gaming as NVIDIA Surround is not compatible with it. If you want to game with it you have to use SoftTH, which has limited game compatibility.

  • I want to use it.

  • Very convinient!!
