You're welcome vintage. Unfortunately, I'm no longer employed with my Chem-Dry franchise - my choice. I will also never use the service from that particular franchise, however, I will never trust my carpets to anyone other that a Chem-Dry technician. Even though I'm not employed, it's a flawless operation I will continue to defend because it's the healthiest and cleanest way to clean carpets.
Interesting. When they came to your home, used the (RX20) that sprays and extracts at the same time under the shroud of the machine, how did you surmise that excess amounts of water was used? Just curious. Thanks for your post.
A little more light would help a lot. And isn't that the same rx20 used by most carpet cleaners? Not all chemdry franchises clean with this much care but I still don't see much difference than our cleaning system
It's a dramatic differance alright, You have left dirty swirl marks on your so called clean area. Scare tactics and bad mouthing. That is what you are superior at without a doubt. Instead of running your mouth you should have been pulling some hose for the Technician. What happened to your bonnet cleaning method that was so Superior for the last 35 years? We don't mind seeing your method if you would narrate the truth behind it JERK-OFF.
@cptclnrAre you about to go out of business or something? Sorry superman, no dirty swwwwirl marks. You're not a student of rational discussion and due diligence it appears. While you felt some sense of territorial threat causing the low iq statement of JERK-OFF to stutter out of your fingers, I will just leave you with this.
Not to mention, if you think any tech who knows what he's doing needs a peon to pull hoses for him then you clearly have a different mentality about the abilities of what a tech should do. We don't need hose pullers. Nor do we need worry about soak and suck operators telling us what we are not. Chem-Dry wouldn't be where it is today following your business dictates. Nor do we use such moronic language such as you so arrogantly display. Good luck to you.
chem dry tells everyone "extraction cleaning is the absolute worst thing you can do for your carpet" and then they switch over to extraction cleaning. Not only that but they copy the RX20. Whats the matter chem dry, cant keep up with the rest?
that is great . hey the new chem dry system uses more water than the classic way right? i mean with the new chemdry truck mount. right? i use very little water also.
Why do you deny the fact that this is an RX20 covered up? There isn't anything wrong with rotary steam cleaning but Chem Dry is not dry cleaning if they are hooked up to a truckmount, using an RX20. I am in the business and know what is going on.
Another thing; RX20's tend to run into wick back problems with berber carpet. You won't see that until the carpet dries. Just because you lower the pressure and fill the vac ports a bit, doesn't mean you are not steam cleaning.
So you have to plug into the customers power source? how much power and water do you draw that I would have to pay for after they are done?
truck mounted units use no customer power or water,I know this because I worked for COIT for 7 years they have the best cleaning method of anybody in the business
I challenge any steam cleaner to try to beat the Chem-Dry process, your wands do not compare, Open Challenge, Browns Chem-dry Atlanta, GA, when you fail I want to post a video of you here showing the world how great your cleaning abilities are lol.. Scared?? Call me I dare you.. lol
What bothers me is ignorance,... You guys taking jabbs at this system really have no clue, I think you just dont like the idea that you know if you are a steam cleaner you are ripping them off.. the scrubbing, the truck mount, the heat and low moisture prevents mold and mildew.. I know about your so called methods, I used to live in an appartment.. lol..
I have had customers tell me they tried this method and hated it. We are now there trusted carpet cleaner. Hot water extraction is the cleanest. You need hot water and pressure to extract all of the dirt. You have got to be a fool to think that dirt does not sit on top of the padding. how are you going to extract the dirt from padding if it doesn't get even a little wet? I am in the water restoration business and deal with soaked carpets all the time. I would like to see chem dry handle a flood.
You're trying to defend the soak and suck system but then you talk about two totally different issues in one argument. Flood damage has nothing to do with carpet cleaning but you go from one issue to another as you fumble your way threw your logic. We're in the carpet cleaning business not the pad cleaning business. Once dirt is there it stays there. You cant clean a pad, nor should you. You can't extract flooded pads with your truck mount nor get all the "now muddy silt" you've created out.
Chem Dry saturates and extracts the entire fiber above the carpet backing with exact persision. Cleaning what needs to be cleaned without damaging the integrity of the backing nor needlessly flooding the pad which leads to so many unwanted and problematic issues and long dry times. Even as much as 4-5 days. How healthy is that for ones home? Nor is the wand you use evenly consistent in removing dirt, water, and pad related contaminants that have no business being re-soaked by a heavy water clnr.
Crash you're a retard and have no idea what you are talking about. We offer a guarantee on our cleaning and rarely ever go back into homes while using this process. You must just really suck at carpet cleaning.
Let me get this right, you said NO soap is used. If you clean anything -your hair, your car, your dishes, your clothes, your house.... you use hot water and soap. I have been cleaning carpets for over 20 years, I use hot water extraction, shampoo, and bonnett cleaning. I have to go to homes where this type of cleaning was used and re-clean everything!!! This is really a joke how you say other methods saturate the carpets and pad. The real carpet cleaners do not over wet the carpets.
You moron, you said u do a acid rinse.....tell me how the hell u rinse dirt/soil (WHICH IS A ACID) with another acid. Do your research b4 u open ur mouth. JUST ANOTHER CASE OF JEALOUSY FROM ANOTHER RANDOM "STEAMER", Chem-Dry IS the largest company in the world for a reason.
I've been with Chem-Dry since May of 2008, but it's probably the best job choice I've ever made. I do Marketing & Advertising for our franchise and I'm also the Home Depot Coordinator. I couldn't have asked for anything better really.
And you know I'm getting sick of anyone bashing our technicians and our process. I've been to the job sites and seen our individual techs in action with my owns eyes. Nothing on the market today compares to Chem-Dry's performance.
LOL that was funny. No worries mate. Your right about wool. Our carpets are the same as yours and rest assured, though wool is a pain in the butt, we will clean the heck out of it. No issues.
never had that problem. i suggest that you use a neutral ph cleaner or prespray. don't go over 200 in heat. don't prespay wool rugs in sun light. and if you use a acid rinse it shouldn't hurt either. lower the pressure to 350 psi to 400 psi anything over may distort wool fibers.
Apart from what this loser said, I work at a Chem-Dry franchise in the south (I'm a redneck, not a yank, and proud of it =D), and that's a great job. Ultimately, it's the technician that makes the job look good. Aparently these people in England doing that to their carpets are just plain idiots and very misinformed on carpet care enough to put VARNISH??!?! on their carpets... not our fault those stains get locked in! LOL! We have wool and synthetic just like you folks do... Kudos Vintage!
Good comments. It's about 120psi technically. We sure don't compare or contrast due to pride at all. We only want to hare with others the differences. Most RX-20's are used with 400-500 psi with extraction heads that throw a lot of water around. Some dial down the psi so your right about the dry times. As far as dumping cash, it's Chem-Dry's system that is sold to every Chem-dry franchise. We whole heartedly want to get the best result, not trash people. I'm sorry if it came across that way.
wear what you want , this is america and freedom of speech is alive and well,i love this type of cleaner in my area, especially when you see em smoking cigars, cigs, and everthing else before they come to the door, i dress with respect to my clients smoke free.thats why i am confident i am a better cleaner /better looking, better equipment, all i asked you people is to quit bashing steam cleaners because you are one also , no you have a big head area wide.
very funny you all bash a steam cleaner , thats really all you are too, that tool is just a rx-20 steam cleaning tool designed for big commercial carpet jobs, how do you people know that steam cleaners leave more moisture ? did you sneak in my shop and see what size of jets steam cleaners use area wide ? also can you all show your state of the art truck mounts powering that professional tool, withount a truckmount its useless .nice oxy clean
First of all, Describing the differences is not bashing. Second, Chem-Dry has several patented design changes for this rx20 that makes it far superior for extraction without being a squeegee. Yes we have about 10% moisture flow compared to your application. I have seen this used by those in your industry and it has nothing on the design changes Chem-Dry created for it. Third, yes we have a state of the art truck mount made buy Hydromaster.
It took 4 years of engineering with Chem-Dry to achieve the hot carbonated low moisture application we now enjoy that achieves dry times of 1 hour or less depending on the weather. The fact that you didn't know we have one of the best made truck mounts in use today shows you don't know very much about Chem-Dry. I would say this; before you decide to trash my on the job video, "that undisputedly speaks for it's self," consider the overwhelming inconsistencies in your steam/shampoo methodology.
Your system is fraught ill-equipped and under educated operators and techs that slop in and out of jobs everyday that doing shoty work, not to mention bate and switching with pricing schemes, creating a huge distrust and dissatisfaction with the whole carpet cleaning profession. It's to unregulated and sloppy. That's hard for us sometimes but usually opens the door for our business to gain more market share every day of the year.
With highly trained techs, Natural cleaners, No soaps, Light moisture, Hot carbonation, we lead in every way in the carpet cleaning industry bar non. That's proven and undisputable. Your always welcome to buy a franchise. Not to mention that Home Depot felt it was the best system in the world. They bought Chem-Dry. Good luck to you.
your system is quite silly , rx-20 are for big jobs , you are not getting any cleaner, heat and vac decides that, not a hybrid janitor scrubber. i am a owner operator, so when you talk about changing prices your talkin about your company since homer gets some of the funds.
i have seen your state of the art soda machine at a service center when they dropped it off, my buddy services truck mounts and we get a nice laugh about that system, buddy there alot of detergent on the market , what are you saying homer from h.d sells only to your company ,
changing jets does not make you better, my blueline themal wave trumps your state of the art hydromaster , 250 degree + # 5 flood recovery vac = better than you.
250 degree+ wow... Question for you. What is the melting temp for nylon, olefin, poly ect. then tell me again what your temp is for cleaning.... And explaing how it is better?
Not yet. We really like the 450 also but we like the padnbuff the same. One nice advantage to pb is the time save from clean up. We live 45min away from home to office so that make the day 2 hours longer after cleaning up the van. The 450 is clearly the best system in the industry without question. That's why we needed to make a home clip of a real job for people to see.
Chem Dry is a very good system, cause we use the same system here in Calgary Alberta.
