Ok and I have a quart jar of powdered magnetic laser toner laying around and some vegetable oil and a turkey baster. Ok that seems like all thats needed to get a crude start on doing this I surmise. I think that possibly one could use a larger backing dish and maybe like 2-3-4-6-8 of this electromagnets on seperate supplies and get some cool effects go on especially if interacting with some superstrong rare earth magnets. I wonder if having some PWM sullies could set up some radical patterns??

Ok so I am a security alarm tech and electrician, as well as electronic tech. I recognise (I Think?) a very powerfull magnetic lock used on doors to close when energised. I have about 20 of these laying about. now the most basic configuration i am seeing here is hooking up a variable 0 to 12vdc or 0 to24vdc powersupply.(got that) Ok this looks like a petri dish sitting on top of the magnetic lock coil, with a 1/4" x 3" or so long lag screw, stainless might be better than galvanized since smooth.
