@fozzy40sqn Hey, I have another question, do you know what percentage of the total power produced by the turboshaft is used to drive those systems you mentioned? without counting the power that is used to drive the main & tail rotors... btw , mega loved your swashplate animation! haha
I have no idea, but I'm sure this is only a very small percentage. During start up there is a moment when only the accessories (all the gears at the rear) are driven. At that time in the cockpit there's no indication of torque so it must be very small.
@kuma982 It's a reduction gearbox to reduce the engine RPM to a manageable RPM for the main/tail rotor assembly. Otherwise the rotorhead and blades would disintegrate from the centrifugal forces. The engine is spinning at several thousand and the main rotor is reduced to several hundred RPM, probably less than 400.

what are the labels on the gears??? are those energy bleeding labels, for such labeled systems????? can´t get it!

@makinamati
Those labels are to indicate what the gears are driving : GEN=generator ; TQ/METER = torque pump ; OIL PUMP = oil pump ; NR TACHO = rotorspeed ; UTIL. HYDR = utility hyraulic pump ; HYDR. PUMP = hydraulic pump

IF THAT'S HOW COMPLICATED AND STRUCTURALLY WEAK IT IS I DON'T LIKE IT.

I already flew 3600 hours with it and trust me, it's quite safe. Lucky me ;-)
