Have you seen the recent review of the bass on talkbass? Someone got one and the QC was terrible on his. I have a gift card from GC so I was thinking of getting one to mod and have a funky colored bass, but after seeing his review and yours seems like I would have to spend some coin to get it to sound better.

My opinion is that there might be some good built fleabasses and some bad built fleabasses and it seems that he got the bad one... it's the same thing for the Fender basses too !

If you can try it in advance or do something like a return if it's bad built then it would be a good thing to buy it!

I'm gonna make a new cover with the FleaBass one of these days if you're interested!

Always remember: A bass is a piece of WOOD, and NO tree is the same! Always check your bass before you buy, that's one of the main reasons I never buy an instrument on an internet shop.

If I check out a bass and I like it, than I want that one, not another bass in stock.

great cover, tone and song. on the solo... i don't know, maybe it's just me, but i don't like how you're trying to be louder than the guitar. you started pretty well, but then these extreme high notes... sounds off in my opinon the bass should somehow "support" the guitar during a solo... don't get me wrong, bass solos are the greatest, but in this song there's not really space for it. again, this just my personal taste, it's still great. :-)

You're right about the bass supporting the rest of the band. Especially in the solos. I'm sure if he were playing it live or something he'd probably be more supportive of the guitar. But considering this is a bass cover he's stickin out a bit more.
