@Xenocide007 John Williams (the composer for the Star Wars saga) borrowed themes and styles from classical composers (such as Holst, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Dvořák) in A New Hope, but used less influences in the later five movies. The Imperial March for example, is said to be influenced by Mars.
@chaosdude14 It seems like there's a pattern of recent classical composers during his time (they all lived around the 19th and 20th centuries) and composers who scored for orchestras he was inspired by. He doesn't seem to be inspired by musicians before that time period (no Bach, Mozart, Beethoven) so I can probably guess he was inspired by them because they scored for orchestra, they were in the 19th and 20th centuries, and they're considered great composers.
@iheartiker I got it as a desktop picture called "In the Shadows of Mars." I don't know if the link is the original source of the picture nor do I know the artist, but I will post the link of where I found it in the description.
while i can understand the allusions to star wars music creator john williams i respectfully disagree....williams went in his own vein of expression with the subtle hints of holst. While reminscent, it is entirely it's own creation.

@Xenocide007
Holst, Wagner, and Mahler all had a style that brought something to inspire the Composer of the Music for Star Wars (who was John WIlliams)
