  • how come you didnt put a white under base for the yellow? what kind of ink do you use?

  • I was trying to show that you do not have to put a white underbase all of the time. Depending on how much you are getting paid per shirt, you may find that the extra time to print the white, then cool and then do the extra color may not benefit you. If you notice, a lot of black shirts do not have a white base just for cost / production reasons. I was using QCM XOLB series inks in this video. However, they have been bought out. I think Union has "one stroke" inks that are similar.

  • damn people are haters on the internet. i think you helped explain what it takes to screen print nicely

  • I thought it was a great demonstration... So what you verbal portion wasnt 1000% I got the message! Good job!.

  • Thanx a lot for the expertise Ben, Where cud i purchase a silk screen machine like that

  • the problem with this video is that your flash is in the wrong place once you are doing more that one color you need a cooling head so you don't have to stop and wait for the shirt to cool.no a 4 color 4 station press 2 head away 6 color 3 head away depend on wish hand you turn better with.and a fan can drop away from the flash to speed things up if you are thinking about production.

  • @randyran13 i run a 6 color 4 station with the flash on the next head to my left and print to the left works for me all day no fan need has two heads to cool ( flash stay about 550 @ 5in off platen) just an idea

  • nice very informative

  • kool shirt

  • everyone talks like caveman when doing video .lol

  • Good and straight to the point! question: How do you not lose your place when swiveling the shirt back and forth? does it lock into place when under the silk screen?

  • Nice vid, thanks for taking the time...

  • you should learn how to say "the"

  • @javery94664 lol

  • I agree with profound1, or you could have done all three colors wet on wet, flashed once and then added second wet on wet pass... Then toss in the belt dryer. Save time, make more money!

  • Did you use a thinning agent on your white ink?

  • great

  • Wrong...You should have printed the White first and used it as an underbase for the Yellow and Gray. This would have eliminated 2 print/flashes and also the Yellow and Gray would have printed brighter. Check out my video you'll see the right way

  • Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It provides a good insight on how screen printing is used in practice to paint a 3-color design on a shirt. Good stuff and if you happen to have more vids please do post. Kudos!

  • I have a question what is the price of this machine and what would i need to Search one ebay to find it..I KNOW ITS A SCREEN PRINT MACHINE but im looking for the exact same one as shown in video.

  • WOW, it must take you forever to complete jobs on dark shirts. why not just do a single white underbase, single Flash, then the rest of your colors? I am not trying to hate here, it just seems like an incredible waste of time for no gain in quality.

  • Thanks for the vid. You made a nice print regardless of what some of these idiots state. Do what works for the printer.. again, thanks for showing us how you print.

It works and it looks good. Keep it up!

  • how the fuck are you still in business? all you needed was an underbase, flash, then 1 hit yellow and 1 hit gray. if this is how you do a 3 color id hate to see you do a 14 color process

  • how do you get the screens cut to what you want? i know you cant do that by yourself, thats what im really trying to figure out

  • in what regards do you mean getting the screens cut? Exposing them? Let me know.

  • @benmuellerb I dont know that well, because i havent used one before. but like getting the pictures in the screen to get the ink onto the shirt or whatever. sorry

  • Just trying to make it easy to understand. thanks for the critique. Sorry we can't be as cool you.

  • @benmuellerb i think its great how you're talking, it alot more clear than any other video, thank you so much, and dont let the haters get u down, thanks to them you're getting on the most discussed list!! lol but awesome vid :)

  • @benmuellerb

    LuLZ

i think that the shirt looks good, nice job man

  • @benmuellerb i respect u for doing this tutorial for free..=) i respect u for ignoring such comment too. =)

  • @packfan88 Who care if he's talking like a robot. He's explaining everything clear and simple.

Thanks for sharing benmuellerb! :) don't let those tossers get to you.

  • awesome

  • Thanks

  • this wideo is for teaching monkey or?

  • you?

  • If you rotate the carousel while printing shirts in the appropriate manner, then using the color as its own under base is the same difference as using a white under base. A high opacity ink is needed to do this. When this is possible, it saves screen making and set up time. Check out my videos for tutorials on screen printing and heat transferring tee shirts. Questions welcome.

  • How can I make my own deisgns..is the screen reusable once you add the yellow pain..can you wash it? do you need to throw it away?

    Any marketing tips

  • So wrong man!!!

you need and underbase of white that covers all the image, print flash and if your good with the squeege you just print the rest of the colors without flashing again. You are wasting so much time.

  • appreciate the comment. There are many ways of doing the process. I agree that an underbase is needed to make the colors pop. However, sometimes it may / may not work according to what the customer wants, image look on dark shirt. Process was to show another way with difficult artwork, small text, etc. This is one variation. What ever works for you and the customer. My word is definitely not the gospel.

  • def dont need that last flash if you are just throwing the shirt on a conveyor drier

  • Its basic plastisol inks. they do not dry unless heat cured..

  • I mean, it dont get dry on the screen.

  • What kind of ink do you use? I noticed it doesnt get dry.

  • "Starring: Ben's Hands" lol nice

  • how to make silk screen?

  • why don't you just base and use a final white....it would save you numerous flashes......?

  • precise and concise!

    good vid..very easy to follow..

  • good vid. concise and to the point. thx

  • you whouldent like to mess up last bit lol

  • I always thought you had to put a layer of white under all colors to be printed on black shirts.

    Thank you for the demonstration

  • Nice and easy way to explain screen printing.

  • Good vid, and funny. Q: is drawing fluid same as emulsion?
