Got a chance to pull the trigger on a Sonic LT for about 1500, with a bunch of throw-ins, or I'm contemplating building up a Mojo SL, which is going to be quite a bit more.....probably about 4 or 5 grand.
Why doesn't she get on the f'ing bike and SHOW us how this suspension works on a range of obstacles and terrain. Sus looks like URT design. Need to see it working nicely on the downhill out of the saddle without messing with the set-up from uphill. I hear that if you stand up on these things, you lose most of the suspension. A prob for trail bikers that go up most fof the time, but do that so they can enjoy the down. Can any owners comment on VL perf when pointed DOWN? Tx.
@giantbluemarlin i have the sonix vl120, the first virtual link from Haro, and i love it. the bike does tend to stay more solid when standing, but it's not like you "lose" any suspension. it's just less bouncy during heavy pedaling. and yeah, not a lot of people hammer on descents, so it doesn't have much effect on downhill riding.
hung up on looks! that's the problem , people buy "pretty bikes" and pay out the nose for stuff like "pro pedal" which, like she said, Haro engineers it out. It looks like my Xeon S the frame it's based on. I love it . straight line compression , no clunky overengineered suspension linkage bullshit . Old you say? ugly ?well as for me old n ugly works!! like a mug! Its No sheared bolts, no pedal bob bliss Im in, not a faggity beauty contest.
It's like a really expensive wallmart bike..... HARO=SHIT
