  • This has NOTHING to do with ZangiTroll.

  • I couldn't have stated it better than "theChris4075" about the teachers being a privileged class. Brian you are a fool for putting this up, really that's the best you could come up with. If lacrosse is more important than a quality education and not drowning the NJ taxpayers then your priorities are totally F@#ed up. And if lacrosse is more important than say learning math or oh hey how this one dope the Constitution, then they should move. Good luck on your next smear campaign.

  • Is it me, or was there nothing outrageous said in these video? Talk about a slow news day!

  • @adminwrh I guess you should replay the clip then. Or maybe you've already made up your mind.

  • The comment about telling people to move if lacrosse is important to them is actually right. Christie is not saying they should move, he's saying the less income you have, the fewer opportunities you will have. It's a fact of life.

  • This is what you came up with? This fails so bad, I'm embarrassed for you man! First the Teachers are privileged in that they get all kinds of benefits and 99.999% job security FROM the State Treasury!!! That list you held up are individuals achieving on performance with little job security and nothing from the Treasury! And the other two points are POINTLESS!!! YOU are a HACK, Jack!

  • Please look into the Layoffs he is now doing to members of the D.O.T. effective June 30th, 2011!!!

  • Chris please look into the Layoffs he is now doing to members of the D.O.T. effective June 30th!!!

  • This video is an epic fail.

  • Christie is going to ruin NJ. He only cares about the wealthy.

  • This is why i don't subscribe to the star ledger.

  • - Most of the people on the privileged list work long hours, are held accountable, and do not draw their paychecks from the taxpayers.

    - His response to the Lacrosse thing was weak. Why not say: why is the the Gov'ts reponsibility to provide Lacrosse? Why not say: support school vouchers to allow the kids to go to the other school?

  • Theatrics, and nothing else. I can't believe I sat through this. Wait, yes I can. If this is the WORST they have against him, they (you) are firing blanks.

"The guy's just warming up". That tells us everything we need to know about the originator. He's going to sit in the bushes, sniping perceived "opportunities", and ignoring everything else. The YouTube generation, unmasked.

  • Okay, I tolerated your first "outrageous" statement, but your little theatre spit only turned me off. If ur gonna make a point, leave stupid stuff like that out. What am I saying, your argument would still suck! :P

  • Top three things most outrageously missing from this video:

    1) Any context for Gov. Christie's allegedly outrageous statements

    2) Statements from Gov. Christie that actually sound outrageous

    3) Objectivity - even feigned objectivity from this partisan, activist playing "gotcha" word-games while seemingly masquerading as a "journalist".

  • Everybody watching this smut video please flag it. The guy hosting this video is a tool bag. He is the perfect example of America's entitlement mentality.

His list of privileged people is bullshit. Pro athletes aren't privileged; they weren't handed their money. They worked hard from the time they were kids to be the best at their chosen profession. That is not privilege; that is called "EARNING YOUR WAY".

  • Christie is right. The "reporter" in this video is a dolt.

  • First grow some hair then grow a brain you left-wing loon. Working for a small time paper which most likely is losing money. What a buffoon you are play the entire speech and then keep you mouth shut to left-wing hack.

  • Please grow some hair then a brain, typical left-wing news clown who works for a left-wing rag paper that's most likely losing money. If you heard (which you probably did) you would have kept your witless remarks to yourself.

  • Comment removed

  • I'll tell you what's outrageous: That a newspaper would stoop to practicing playground-level political activism on YouTube. Nobody buys the bullsh*t printed in the Star-Ledger anymore so I guess, this is the only avenue left in your attempt to reach an agreeable audience.

I don't know what amount you pay for medical costs per year (insurance, out-of-pocket, etc.), but any group of people who pays NOTHING for it, and does so at the expense of the taxpayer, IS INDEED a privileged group of people.

  • This is nitpicking...if these are the only faults you can find it is pretty weak...

  • Just another example of how the CRY BABY LIBERAL MEDIA can't handle a straight shooter who doesnt kiss their behinds and doenst care what the media thinks of him. Get over it, and yourselves! Christie is here to stay!

  • You are so pathetic. This is seriously the most OUTRAGEOUS comments you can find. Its idiots like you that think that government run healthcare is actually going to be productive. Christie is an awesome governor. Just look at the ratings of this video 5 times more people think your wrong than right.

  • The teachers unions are among the most privileged because they want a bunch of benefits. You are clearly someone who with an agenda against Governor Christie. If the only evidence you have against him is taking out-of-context clips of him and responding with spit-takes, you are a sad person.

  • Awww...poor left wing lunatic who has to take Christie out of context because Christie is actually doing a great job in NJ. This is why no one listens to you all in the media anymore...we can do our own research and listen to all of these speeches in context. Why did you mention the million views...maybe it is a jealousy because you only have 700!! You and your ilk are pathetic. The TRUTH ALWAYS wins out, and makes you all look like the fools you are!

  • Gov Chris Christie was talking about the Teacher's Union in that speech. He was not attacking the teachers.

  • If these are the 3 best examples of how outrageous Chris Christie is...then I'd like to extend my formal invitation to Chris Christie to leave this idiot behind and come help fix California.

Looks like (based upon other comments here) that your attempt to bash the Governor went over like a loud fart in church!

  • I wonder how anyone would be able to cut any spending in the state government with morons like this in the press. Does this idiot understand that New Jersey is broke and that means there must be some tough medicine.

  • Brian Donohue is a Liberal Jack Ass. You make no sense guy. You pick clips to take them out of context and try to hype them up as being something big.

    Typical Obama whores.

  • can't report as inappropriate but can i report as lame?

  • Lame. Bitter journalism at work. Sorry dude, he was right on all three.

    1) teachers who have job security with overly generous benefits at the expense of the average taxpayer and hours worked and risk involve = Priviledged

    2) Move = stop looking for the government to fund your kids lacrosse team. ifi they can't afford to buy books & computers, they shouldn't be funding lacrosse (or they could if they fixed the above).

    3) Fixed it - probably referring to that budget year

  • Let me help:

"privileged" high ratio of pay / benefits (compensation) for risk involved. Mmm, let's see - guaranteed raises & employment, $0 contributions for generous retirement & health care bennies.

"Move." Fix your own eff'ing situation - stop looking for the government to do it for you - gov can't do everything for - deal.

"Fixed it." Well, maybe not completely but he's at least started to balance the budget, which is a hell of a lot better than the bozo before him could say.

  • Let me help:

"priviledged" high ratio of pay / benefits (compensation) for risk involved. Mmm, let's see - guarenteed raises & employment, $0 contributions for generous retirement & health care benies.

  • NJ teachers get tenure and work typically ten out of twelve months. They get holidays off, snow days, sick leave, excellent benefits and retirement packages few others can match. So, yeah, by NJ standards, that makes them "privileged". It also used to be said by many who taught, that it was a privilege to teach. So, again, yes.. On both counts the Gov was right.

To compare: small business CEOs aren't guaranteed a job, nor days off, nor even a profit sometimes..

Get your head out of your butt!

  • what part of unsustainable does this reporter not get? that means that it is in a path that cannot be sustained by current means of support. Gov Chistie makes it clear that for the last decade the state and many other states have been on this path. which means living in a PHONY state of living. FALSE WEALTH. so cutting spending is only returning to reality.

  • I am a teacher and I would certainly not consider myself "privileged". Anyone who agrees with Christie can come spend a day with me...your head will probably spin-off. Until you are a teacher, you have no idea what it is like. Try not being able to use the bathroom when you need to, or try being trapped in a room with 30 adolescents when it is 98 degrees out with no air conditioning and you can't open the windows because there are no screens and a student in your class is allergic to bees!

  • @tank10tank Talk to your union rep. Isn't that what the unions are supposed to be lobbying for? Better working conditions? Until then, enjoy your guaranteed, 100% tax-sponsored employment and no contribution for benefits.

  • @proud2b4family it's funny how little people really know about the profession and are quick to jump on the band wagon! We DO pay into our benefits! Second, schools are nonprofit, so if there is no $, what is there to lobby for? Yes, I agree $ was ill-spent in some districts, however, there are districts who spent responosibly. The ignorance of our governor to make assumptions without spending any time in schools across the state is both irresponsible and a travesty to the education of our youth.

  • Star Journal=a bunch of douchebags

  • Star Ledger Need s to spend on some real Journalists.

  • Lame, now clean the mess you did janitor

  • When Christie takes over in Washington in 2013,Obama will be hanged for treason.

  • Brian you talk about Sayreville as if it were Camden,Christie is correct teachers are some of the most privileged in the state, high pay, free health care for life for them and family, huge pensions,3 months off a year, tenure they cannot be terminated, and golden parachute benefits, that are far better than what most taxpayer get, Parents in this state need paid vouchers to send their children to any accredited school of their choosing not just Public,or Charter after all it is their money,

  • @TheChris4075 Cops have the same rich packages...

  • @TheChris4075 Here Here!

  • @TheChris4075 YOU need to understand something up front. The teachers do not get any benefits for FREE. NOT ONE. Their Contract is negotiated between two parties, then it is ratified and finally voted on. The Benefits they recieve throught those negotiations are part of a 3 tier Economic Package. Those benefits are not FREE. The teachers earn those benefits everyday of the week... THEY EARN THEM.

  • CHRIS CHRISTIE = AMERICA'S GOVERNOR

  • YAWN

  • Brian...give up your job in journalism....if those three clips made your jaw drop then you are part of the problem in America. I'd vote for Chris Christie for President. You're an IDIOT.

  • HEADLINES IN AREA NEWSPAPERS ON 9/12/01

    DAILY NEWS - IT'S WAR

    NY POST - WAR!

    THE LEDGER -TERRORISM BEYOND BELIEF

    Draw your own conclusions.

  • Furthermore, the Satanic Jews control the Ledger. However, their time is short.Start preparing another Kristillnacht.

  • The Star-Ledger doesn't believe in freedom of speech. They banned me again this afternoon because of my Obama comments on the Jersey Shore story. Will they apologize in 2013 when Obama is proven to be an illegal alien by the House Judiciary Commitee? They probably won't be around then.

There would be more dead birds than what fell from the sky this week if all cages were lined with the Star-Ledger.

  • Using the Governors good name to get views on your crappy rag videos?

  • WOW! 86 views. Gee Brian it loks like you and the Star Ledger are as relevant as past Governor Corzine. Don't think you or your paper will be challenging Christie in YouTube hits any time soon....LOL

  • Chris Christie is great.

  • the 3rd clip is frickin pointless. corzine was opperating the state on mostly federal money which basically forced christies administration to make state employees take a pay freeze, and besides that i think its rediculous that employees of the state cant go even a couple or a few years without a raise. @tvjersey, you need to really consider why your state is among the worst in the nation economically, its not bc of ppl like christie in case you are wondering. get out of your moms basement.

  • your second clip in so unimportant politically and economically that i dont understand your grounds for it being the most outrageous. so instead of having a country where you GO TO the opportunities you would like opportunities to be BROUGHT to people in the next town over? get a grip.

  • yes TEACHERS are among the most priveleged in our society. and especially in NJ before christie was governor where teachers(being a tax payer burden of the state) were in contracts that gave them upwards of 5% income increase EVERY YEAR. he makes a clear argument. i watched a teacher bitch at him bc the gov didnt pay for her education and was asking her to put 1% of her income towards her own families health coverage. what a racket!

  • Harry Truman used to say that the American people can always spot a "counterfeit' (his term, not mine). It might take them awhile, but they usually get it right.. Chris Christie lives by belittling those who disagree with him, and throws 'friends" under the bus (like Bret Schundler) to cover his own behind. NJ is starting to wise up; CC's job approval dropped from 51 to 46% in a month (Nov to Dec). Trust me, it's going to nosedive after his Disney World during a blizzard fiasco. Talk about karma

  • I'm not sure i like the host anymore. Only his points of view in this video (i do agree with him in other videos).

The purpose of schools is to educate. Sports is very expensive. And teachers are pretty pampered, they have more extensive benefits. Forget lacrosse, how can a broke town afford it? Trying to level the playing field too hard creates its own problems, such as higher and higher taxes.

NJ will have to cut all the fat, and christie, although fat himself, is the one to do it

  • I like the host! He's got a great delivery, good to know that in a time where newspapers struggle, a great NJ paper has a great talent.
