As long as Westerners hear that Palestinians and other would like to see Israel wiped off the map, then Israel will always get the support from the West.
There has to be a viable two-state solution or there will be only a great bloodbath on both sides before there will be "peace." And no one will be around to enjoy that peace either.

It's very tough. I don't like the fact that the quartet are being conditional. They have to respect the Palestinian view that they aren't happy with being allocated two infertile and resourceless regions whilst the Israelis, the majority of whom come from Europe, get the lion's share.
I would like to think Hamas would talk about 2 states, but the conditions must be fairer and balanced from their perspective. If under those conditions they still want to destroy Israel, then they deserve nothing.
