It might be the difference between activism for the right to a particular identity vs advocating a lifestyle. So the agenda is what really makes the difference..but most of us are 1 huge overlap also...also a lot of sliding back and forth between the two. The community is not strong enough for a split but sometimes decisions have already been made for you. We struggle with insiders. We struggle with outsiders. I'm seeing both sides. There's a time and place for the split so it seems.
I actually agree with you ladies. As a gay man , I respectfully don't see why we are put together in the same bag. What defines us are COMPLETELY different things and i think it's unfair for each group to be shown as the same when the issues are far from being the same.
i FEEL LIKE SUPERMAN SO MAYBE I SHOULD BUY RED AND BLUE TIGHTS AND WALK AROUND WITH A CAPE AND A S ON MY CHEST AND THAN FIGHT FOR FREEDOM TRUTH AND THE AMERICAN WAY BUT THEY WOULD LABEL ME CRAZY AND LOCK ME UP I WOULD DO IT BUT REALITY SETS IN I CANT FLY AND IM NOT SUPERMAN I JUST WANNA BE HIM (YOUR NOT WOMEN U JUST WANNA BE WOMAN) LETS BE REAL.......OH YEA ARE ANY GAYS LESBANS OR TRANSSEXUALS PRACTICE CELIBACY? NO BECAUSE ITS ALL ABOUT SEX........... LETS BE REAL............ BJs AND ANAL
@BOBByBISHIP that analogy doesnt make since because you dont have superman genes. Dean Hamer, a geneticist at the US National Cancer Institute in Washington DC, has groundbreaking research proven the genes that make us who we are. So the uneducated like yourself run ya mouth withough KNOWING FACTS. I was married for 5 years got a divorc ein febuary and havent had sex in over a year. What you doin is overgeneralize the LGBT community just like idiot do to any other oppressed people. Read A Book
you got a point there for sure. in general, it is a movement to break through the "specific roles" and do some understandment for the whole transgender thing. it's like if the kids are united, they can never be divided ;) it's just all about how you feel yourself to be right and can fulfill your own sexual role, it's a common fight together with like the "LGB&T" thing, i think it is really important to act politically as a whole but amongst each other as a single person :) so i totally agree :D
Hi Diamonds and Pearls. Your wisdom and maturity as you speak of something that is very personal to you is commendable. Straight people who want to help you behind the scenes like lawyers and mayors and senators. I almost out of room, but I wanted to say that I am more aware the degrees of separation. I have a gay brother that as a child I battered him and loved him. I didn't understand how he felt so free to dance in a dress in the middle of our street at the age of 10yrs old
I do agree that tgirls are not strong enough individually. Employment is empowerment. Self-sufficient businesses is empowerment. Social perception being accepted by public through media outlets is empowerment. I am straight male, but I consider the tgirl struggles a human issue and one of a humane issue. The LGBT is strengthened by numbers and empowered by a few, right now. One law at a time is where most of your true empowerment will come from.
To me, I think it is a 3rd gender like 'Check Male, Female, Trans' but not making a stereotype that trans not in a bad thing. I also dont think its immoral because its a belief in their minds.
i feel that trans feel that they are different moreso than gays excluding them. because alot of trans dont feel gay. they feel like they are straight and of the opposite sex.
well i somewhat agree....and the trannie sthat think like that are delusionall in my opinion....we will alway be transexual...NOT MEN but NOT WOMEN either....but alway a part of the GLBT community
The gay community sometimes exclude trans and they can be very bias. Also I feel minority trans are really treated differently and has to work ten times harder. I like they have two strikes against them. One is being black and trans so it rough.
