I used to run from kare kare to whatipu and back, never saw anyone till one day I saw a ranger, he went mad at me for running in bare feet. Total spastic he was so I told him where to go otherwise the best training ground ever.

been there and even rode a dirtbike from laingholm to whatipu and rode it down the beach to karekare and all the way back with out seeing a ranger !
