@PyrPyro I don't think that's really fair - it's not that you're not 'up to par', just that subtitles take effort to create. Is it unfair for publishers not to publish every book in braille? It's unfortunate that deaf people can't take advantage of things like streaming audio on youtube, but it's not a necessity or a right.

@cigarettehush I actually disagree, subtitles are an intensive project. But that's not the point - even if I grant you that it would take little effort, that still doesn't mean that they should have done it. There are many things they could have done to improve the video with relatively 'little effort'. In the end they only have so much time, and captions are not absolutely necessary so it's perfectly reasonable to omit them.
