  • It was such an amazing experience to have him go to my school before he performed here and it was really awesome to go with my deaf and hard-of-hearing teachers and friends and some interpreters to see him perform! I can't believe I saw myself so many times in this video! :'D

  • I keep reading "Beethoven" ... to my knowledge, Beethoven never wiggled about like an epileptic under a disco-ball!

Probably a deaf, dumb and blind guy could 'rap' eloquently - however, 'music', that's something different ... :L

  • "Those two words, 'Music' and 'Deaf,' they've never gone together." Beethoven never gets his props...

  • Five Greatest Rappers of ALL time. Dylon, Dylon, Dylon, Dylon and Dylon!! i SPIT HOT FIRE!!!

  • inspiring

  • So...An album, eh? I dunno, that seems weird. How do you be the star of an album while you only write lyrics?

  • "Those two words: music and deaf? They've never gone together."

Hasn't he heard of Beethoven? Frankie Wilde?

    Pretentious

  • I can't wait for the MP3

  • if this appeals to you, check out the Deaf Performing Artist Network (or DPAN)

  • rap...

  • no disrespect... is he deaf or voiceless ?? or both?

  • @MOSKAR1

He is deaf, though he does have a voice just like other deaf people he can not create recognizable words or sounds to communicate.

  • This opens up my though of"Of you really want to do it you can if you set your mind to it" when I witnessed this I was stunned i wanna learn how to rap and watching this tells me "YES I CAN!"

  • love signmark!!!

  • wouldn't it be weird if he get signed to Def Jam

  • Now that's beautiful

  • @PharrisGSL will Follow you back or SUB you!!!

  • Interesting:)

  • the *story*/News report is not captioned. The signs to the songs are...when they're not edited out.

  • decent :)

  • This is about a Deaf guy, you'd think CBS would add subtitles for all the Deaf fans. Guess even in 2011, we are still not up to par.

  • @PyrPyro yeah but doubt they thought of that -_- Ironically youtube has a transcript thing that transcripts all the words, but they aren't using that either. Great consideration

  • @PyrPyro wtf can someone please re upload this with subtitles, pyrpyro is right, wat the hell cbs!?!?!

  • @PyrPyro I don't think that's really fair - it's not that you're not 'up to par', just that subtitles take effort to create. Is it unfair for publishers not to publish every book in braille? It's unfortunate that deaf people can't take advantage of things like streaming audio on youtube, but it's not a necessity or a right.

  • @thegnome54 What? Subtitles take effort to create? I'm sure creating subtitles for this video would take a fraction of the effort editing or shooting it took. That's not an excuse.

  • @cigarettehush I actually disagree, subtitles are an intensive project. But that's not the point - even if I grant you that it would take little effort, that still doesn't mean that they should have done it. There are many things they could have done to improve the video with relatively 'little effort'. In the end they only have so much time, and captions are not absolutely necessary so it's perfectly reasonable to omit them.

  • @PyrPyro they dont need subtitles because they understand sign language you idiot

  • @PyrPyro thats what Close Captioning is for...most if not all TVs are capable of it, and if a deaf person was watching this...they probably had it on.

  • @PyrPyro Totally agree, I wanted to show my deaf mom this video. =(

  • @PyrPyro ............ the deaf fans have closed captioning on their television.......... which this was originally aired on

  • @PyrPyro its called closed captioning... tv will have the subtitles..

  • cool

  • pretty inspirational.. Keep it up Signmark, God Bless you..

  • CBS NEWS SHOULD CHECK DEF THUG OUT..I'M OFFICIAL DEAF RAPPER. FROM BRONX NY.

  • @kaykentucky actually Signmark did rap his words you just didn't understand them

  • he shouldnt be a rapper cos he technically didnt rap the words, his assistant RAPPER did. he should be the lyrics writer. lol

  • @kaykentucky

Nope, he RAPS - he speaks the rap in Sign Language and he even rhymes in his signs as well, as intense and as much "rap" as voiced rap.

  • @kaykentucky shows how little you know.

  • @kaykentucky Well he's a rapper, deal with it

  • eh, I wanted to hate it and make fun of it but it was OK, I don't get the record deal he made though.......

  • Umm he's Finnish first of all, so it's not really relevant to American news...and this is old news anyways. He's been doing this since like 2006.

  • @123IOWNALL321 Why do you have to come off as hostile? Can't you just inform us and not be impolite about it.

  • @Marrilliams

Uhh because this is absolutely retarded?

  • @123IOWNALL321 That's your opinion, dude.

  • @wakko1337

    Those are letters, dude.

Could you be any more obvious?

  • @123IOWNALL321 actually it is relevant to american news cause that was from silent shout for Deaf awareness in NYC, which is obviously here in the US. Its old in the sense that silent shout was late last year.

  • :D

Should this be called rapping or dancing? :D

  • wow amazing

  • First!
