This is not a '52 unless he put on a later cab. The window is not split (as it would have been pre-1960) and the sideways "7" chrome strips on the doors and fenders make it a post 1960 truck. Also, if it was a '52 the tailgate would have a W embossed with an O in the background signifying Willys-Overland. Kaiser bought WO in 1952 and the tailgates lost that after then. Just trying to keep things straight, not picking on you at all.
A buddy and I were hunting in the mountains of Western Maryland and found an old willys pickup in a stream bed swallowed up to the top of the doors...it was in very bad shape of course but the dash plate around the gauges still said willys overland. The steering wheel still turned but I dont think the wheels were attached anymore...they couldn't be seen
I just saw 2, possibly 3 J-series pickups in an area of less than acre, there could be more I didnt see. If I knew where this was atleast one of them might disappear lol. Im kidding of course.
he has about 20 j-series style trucks ?? not sure how many more of them, but he says he has more in the back woods, but it is too grown up to get back there.
Its funny, that truck looks almost identical to the one my dad and I are restoring. Same color, rust etc....Big differences are that your friends runs and has a tailgate. Anyone know where I can pick up a decent shape, decent price tail gate, break master cylinder and wiring harness for our '52 Willy's?
he really doesn't know, these aren't my jeeps but a friends. he has a lot more than that...multiply 17 by 5 and you will be close to the amount he has. Im not 100% sure how many myself!
looks good. alwys nice to see more out there running. i know of 5 willys pick ups within 8 miles of our house. I always liked the trucks better myself but got a good deal on my wagon

Nice! It's good to see some of them with the factory engines in them.
Are you sure it is a '52? I have read that '50-'53 had the five horizontal cross bars on the grill.

@jeepcummins721 That is definitely an early 60's Kaiser/Jeep Utility truck. With a name like "JeepCummins" you sure dont know your history.

Believe me I wouldnt have one bit of trouble going back there if he would let me hunt for some spare parts if not an entire truck!

I'de give a nut to have the Jeeps in that yard. The drive around was good, but the Jeeps in the background were great!
