Steve I love it as I did many years ago. ;-) Richard King here and I remember you as a friend (and customer) a long time ago. Moved to Vero Beach, Fl in about 1995 or so and you are welcome to stop by and play here anytime. Let me know when. I'm finally getting back into recording again, doing live recording of local bands when I can. soundcloud under richard_king I have a web site, but it appears to be dead this morning for some reason: richardkingmedia com When it works you can call me.
thanks for the up load-love yr music-safe journey is one of my fav albums, just got your 3 disc comp, which has been getting colege air play-now that i found this I need to play it also-we are a non comercial radio station
what a treasure. had no idea about the existence of this video. 'safe journey' is a classic & this track is evidence of tibbett's genius. i'll amplify the other comments...it would be wonderful to see more 'safe journey' performances. much thanks.
I am very glad to see this. Would love to see/hear any SAFE JOURNEY or NORTHERN SONG footage or audio as well. Is a DVD or CD of this available for purchase? Thanks!
Always has been one of my fave Tibbetts tracks - fabulous to see done live with this ensemble! I saw Steve and Marc play in Winnipeg in the mid-90's - an unforgettable show!
From what is probably my favorite Tibbetts recording, never dreamed I'd see a video of it. And the enigmatic Bob Hughes on bass. Great stuff. Tibbetts strat really punches holes in the ionosphere with this one.

Saw a concert similar to this in Tucson Az. two hundred years ago. Had to fight a monster U2 traffic jam to get from Phoenix to Tucson. But it was worth it. One of the best shows I have EVER seen. Need MORE ! ! !
thanks for posting this

I guessing this is around 1982, am I right?

@redshaftedflicker
This song is on the album "Safe Journey" which was released in 1984, so it's probably a litle latter than '82.
