No competition: Alyssa Milano is 100 times better than Lori Rom. She's more vivacious and spirited and funny. Lucky for us Alyssa came on the show and she stayed till the end! : )

Lori Rom is good in the role of Phobe but Alyssa's far more convincing in the role. Is it me or does anyone else think that Lori's Phobe looks as though she could pass for Piper's age rather than that of the baby sister?

wow Charmed would have been cancelled if they would have kept the original Phoebe. Her acting looks so fake, not to mention she looks too old and ugly.

Alyssa Milano fits in better as Phoebe not just because that's who we've all grown up with portraying her but even in the pilot Shannen and Holly were believable as siblings whereas Lori Rom didn't fit in as she not only looks too young to be 5 and 2 years apart from her sisters but, call me weird or stupid, even her voice throws things off; but with that aside the chemistry was way off... just my opinion.

Anyway...Yeh I have to agree with everyone else...Lori just doesn't feel "right" I mean this could quite easily just be me being biased having grown up with Alyssa as Phoebe but...wow. I feel like Alyssa is a better actress too. She played Phoebe so well, and she added more emotion to her character. Lori played her oddly. I think the perfect example is during the ouijia board thing as Alyssa acted more scared as opposed to Lori. However, we might see it differently if Alyssa was give the role but then Lori took over. But thank God that she didn't as Phoebe is my favourite character. Surely other actress other than Lori that auditioned did better that she did lol.

Alyssa seemed to get into her part more, Lori seemed to be a bit stiff. Also, it seemed as thought Alyssa was more comfortable with the "bare-it-all" clothing while Lori covers up more. I love the different scene. The ones with Lori seem better becuase the house the girls live in seem to be more reasonable and affordable for a group of girls barely working. But, everyone likes glam so the house Alyssa lives in is better to look at.

Lori on the other hand 'Overacted' the parts a little bit!And considering that the both Holly and Shannen are not very tall, Alyssa Blended in!If you watch the trio with Lori,Lori looks like a Giant!Thanks again for posting this!!!!

The crucial part is that you can believe Alyssa Milano's Phoebe had a very tumultuous past, with a lot of rebellion and violence. Lori doesn't look as though she spent her previous years with gangs and biker chicks.

It's obvious Lori Rom was extremely uncomfortable with her role and she sounds/looks too old to play the role of "Phoebe". Alyssa's premonitions seemed more believable and not as uncomfortable as Lori's were. All and all, because I see more of Alyssa playing the role, that I automatically say Alyssa, and seeing it side by side, Alyssa has more of the "Phoebe" role then Lori, I think Lori would have been more comfortable playing Piper or Prue.
