BF#BF#BD# gives you the range of a seven string on a six, minus a couple high notes.

So if you tune a seven string in the same manner with a low F#, it would give you the range an 8 string guitar on your seven.

D'Addario , GHS , Dunlop.. ect all the big companies make them , their great for playing really fast without getting slowed down on the thinner strings but at the same time the thick strings are very loud and great for lower tunings.

I play peavey guitars (hp special) and peavey vypyr amps and there really are the best things I've ever used. I've played ibanez gem, rg, s series, esp horizon, viper, Jackson rr, guitars and still the peavey is better than all of them. The only guitar i have had thaat could top the Peavey hp was an Ernie ball music man axis, which i had to work my ass off for months to buy. but the hp has the same feel and sounds so awesome so fuck the big names and go with peavey.
