So the latest ploy by corporate oil seems to be the recent launch of a YouTube campaign in which numerous dummy accounts have been set up showing videos and posting comments to create doubt in the global warming consensus reached by the IPCC and the global science community. We all need to learn and start using energy efficient goods and services. With 70% of all carbon from transport and homes. We can only solve this by changing our consumption choices. Take on coal and oil but also take on promoting how by talking energy efficiency and electric cars.

Solar farms are great until you get months of cloudy rainy weather. Wind power is great until flocks of migrating birds are killed by spinning wind turbines.
Hydro power is great, but you build huge dams and flood lots of crop land.
Geothermal is scary, pumping massive amounts of water into the earth causes earthquakes.
Nuclear power may seem like the answer until you see Chernobyl.

I started out as a skeptic until I decided to do the topic for a research paper, you know what I found? when you googled the scientist with "proof that global warming wasn't real" there were many hits on how they were bought by big oil. when I googled the scientist that had proof it was, not one single scandel article! For those people saying the earth is cooling, it's called global dimming. look it up!

The fact is that the melting of the Arctic would doom hundreds of species. It's not just polar bears; it's also walruses, seals, and other smaller creatures. I doubt that anyone can predict the full extent of the horror, but I suspect that a collapse of the ecosystem is quite possible.

The ozone "hole" isn't a hole at all (at least not in the common sense of the word). It's a region where hydro-fluorocarbons have parked themselves, displacing the ozone that used to be there. These gases are not able to reflect the ultraviolet wavelengths that ozone can, and so that radiation passes right thru them. They'll prove to be much harder to get rid of than CO2, I believe.

They have cut OIL IMPORTS by a WHOPING 25%. The ironic-hypocricy is that France sells it's excess electrical energy to countries like England, Germany, Italy, and others who were against it, but have now sobered up and are ordering nuclear.

So the latest ploy by corporate oil seems to be the recent launch of a YouTube campaign in which numerous dummy accounts have been set up showing videos and posting comments to create doubt in the global warming consensus reached by the IPCC and the global science community. These people are NOT just random YouTubers; they work for oil. We call them "oil-dummies." I think there are a few of them posting comments right here. Spread the word, people.

I am a scientist and I will tell you that there is not conclusive evidence that global warming is because of man. Reality is we cannot accurately predict the weather.
Al Gore is a major shareholder in many of the technology he is pushing. He compares Moore's Law to the decrease in in price of raw materials. That is a crappy comparison and tells me Al Gore is no expert.
Trust me I am much greener that Al I only have 1 house and use mass transit,not because of money but because it is right.

At one time the scientific society consensus was ether was needed for the sun's energy to reach earth or we could never travel over 60 mph as we could not survive any faster. There is evidence of dramatic climate shift prior to man. It is a little hard to blame that on us. The only thing you are correct about is climate and weather are not the same. They are related and we do not understand either one. As for me attacking Al Gore, it was an attempt to show that he is like a televangelist.
