I remember the first time I heard this song.. I was sitting in a car, waiting for someone.. This song came on the radio, I immediately liked it, and as a 70's girl, I assumed this was a song from another decade that somehow missed my ears!

I was surprised it was a new song and band. I went out and bought the CD immediately!

Gregg Alexander was very concerned that they were becoming a one hit wonder, which was evident in his later performances, he lacked interest and thus energy. This concern killed the band right about the time Someday We'll Know was coming out, making the one hit wonder a self fulfilling prophecy. If you're going to be known for the rest of time for just one song, though, can you name a better one?

The song would be a one-hit wonder except for the fact that the whole album it's taken from was good and "Technicolor Lover" nearly as novel as "You Get". I've also often wondered whether this group quit on its own or was threatened (by the FBI?) after singing "we'll kick your ass in" once too many times. This was first time I heard "Richard Branson" rhyme with "kick your ass in": where have I been?
