@4hybrid Since disbanding the group in summer 1999, Alexander has written and produced songs for artists including Ronan Keating, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Enrique Iglesias, Hanson, Geri Halliwell, Melanie C, Mónica Naranjo and fellow ex-New Radical Danielle Brisebois. Most noteworthy was the song "The Game of Love" by Santana and Michelle Branch, which earned Alexander a Grammy in 2003.
Health insurance rip off lying FDA big bankers buying Fake computer crashes dining Cloning while they're multiplying Fashion mag shoots With the aid of 8 dust brothers Beck, Hanson Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson You're all fakes Run to your mansions Come around We'll kick your ass in! i think i just found my next facebook status
Gregg Alexander of the New Radicals was a visionary for generation X and Y, and the group would still be making chart topping singles had he not disbanded the project.
@adamhcru2008: I could "kill" viacom for taking the breath of many new inventive bands on commercial TV around 2000.......the new radicals were one of the really last ones to happen.....celebrate them.
maybe that band itself were a one hit wonder. But alot of people on that stage have had very successful careers as writers/producers/musicians for other aritsts.
Greg Aiuto (stage: Gregg Alexander) got tired of touring and dealing with record companies and decided to write songs for other people. He won a Grammy for writing "Game of Love" for Santana. He even sings backup behind Michelle Branch.
I remember the first time I heard this song.. I was sitting in a car, waiting for someone.. This song came on the radio, I immediately liked it, and as a 70's girl, I assumed this was a song from another decade that somehow missed my ears!
I was surprised it was a new song and band. I went out and bought the CD immediately!
one hit wonders always fascinate me. if they can come up with something as good as this youd think theyd be able to put out other hits...even if its not as good as this one.
@ScreenFlavour Agree, and sometimes they do make songs as good as their hit, it's jsut that they got unlucky with the media. But yes, One-hit wonders absolutely rock!
I'm a 70's girl, and was sitting in the car one day, waiting for someone... I heard this on the radio and immediately fell in love with this song.. I thought it was a song I'd missed...somehow...from back in the day... Was thrilled to find out it was NEW...at the time..
Gregg Alexander was very concerned that they were becoming a one hit wonder, which was evident in his later performances, he lacked interest and thus energy. This concern killed the band right about the time Someday We'll Know was coming out, making the one hit wonder a self fulfilling prophecy. If you're going to be known for the rest of time for just one song, though, can you name a better one?
There second song off the New Radicals album was “Someday We'll Know” Just a wonderful love song… I wish they would have made more music, they were one of those artist that just movies you and makes you want more! But there was no more….
The song would be a one-hit wonder except for the fact that the whole album it's taken from was good and "Technicolor Lover" nearly as novel as "You Get". I've also often wondered whether this group quit on its own or was threatened (by the FBI?) after singing "we'll kick your ass in" once too many times. This was first time I heard "Richard Branson" rhyme with "kick your ass in": where have I been?
good song! espectacular song! exelent song ! what can i say or write! that`s to bad that this band separate to each other! that`s too bad ! but their music was exelent!
Simplesmente uma musica espetacular...vi pela primeira vez no filme "tá dando onda" e gostei na hora...nem sei o que dizer...somente que é uma musica muito energetica...muito obrigado pela postagem!!!
If only this is now, Our music would be saved from these teeny boppers like Miley Cyrus and Jonas Bros who think they know pop... This man reinvented pop in his own style.
ei not only this song...I think they also have the song "Someday we'll know" (which was revived by Mandy Moore with a guy) as a hit ... I really love this song way back when but I only got to understand the chorus part...so I was kinda disappointed when I read the verse of the song... I can't seem to get it...but maybe that's just me...heheh...
First post for this kinda timeless pulsing high energy song.....great spirit....the freedom to just let it go!.....never get tired of hearing it because it's all about energy and whatever moment you're in....great to hear it live, wish the guitarist could've taken off on an extended wild solo instead of pulling it in for the ending because of Jay Leno TV time constraints....

Timeless. Inspiring song.
I've loved this song ever since I first heard it back in the day.
'But when the night is falling
And you cannot find the light
If you feel your dream is dying
Hold tight.
You've got the music in you...'
These are lyrics to live by. It certainly helped me (and still does) get through tough times. Thank you, Gregg.
