It has been 3 weeks and this has been the greatest "meditation" device. I have stressful occupaition (trial lawyer/litigation) I tried yoga, tai chi ya-shi new age etc. and sitting in a chair with this on my headphones I now understand going to your "quiet place" (sofa at home under blankie while Mum vacums) Someone should start a business - also glad to see I am not the only one (of course my wife and daughter think I am weird but that is nothing new) Thanks to poster - this is best of all

I always thought I was strange for becoming comatose whenever I hear vacum - glad to see I am not the only one. Why don'y they include this (and hairdryer) in the "sleep sound machines" Ocean waves, babbling brook - this takes me back 39 years lying on the couch when my Mum was vacuming the house - pure relaxation!!!! and $3000 is a stretch for the most part dont you think....we sold them for $1,800 retail...and they are the best... doesn't make much sense why someone pays $60K for a car either, but some want the best if that makes sense! :)

kIrbys are a HUGE SCAM that 20/20 exposed and so have many others...my crazy mother owned one for 100 years, it kept breaking every 2 months, had to keep getting repaired, not to mention the ORIGINAL ripoff of buying a car that costs as much as a CAR...now having said taht, i do like the sound of vacuums too..but y'all need to just relax about the whole kirby mythology...its just a VACUUM!

lol i own a Kirby tradition g3 and g4 and they all work fine me tradition is over 20 years old and works like new my g3 and g4 both above and at 14 years of age and work better then the shit sold at walmart, except dyson ive always liked there vacuums[not as much as Kirby:P] these vacuums are built like tanks and i have never looked back to newer vacuums.

that sound isn't the motor of the vacuum, listen closely...that is the air sucking INTO the vacuum...that's how powerful the suction is on a Kirby, you should watch a demo sometime.
