  • Fuckin haters..

  • you need to change the cable.

  • @mattluvsvox921 Dude, diddley bow is from Africa and is older than Bo himself.

  • You suck

  • why do people think Jack White was the first to put a pick up on a chunk of wood with a string??? The power of video and modern era ignorance is astounding!!!!!

  • @WickidBoahd Diddley Bow predates Bo Diddley by a long shot. It's origins stem from a family of African instruments. As for Jack Black, he is talented as hell, there is no doubt. He's pretentious, but he's very talented.

  • How did you wire the pickup to the jack output thing?

  • what kind of string did you use?

  • what did you use for a string?

  • all day?? jack white take 2 min

  • ya'll folks who are bickering should just shut up.

  • ppl need to calm down dissing Jack White. If it wasn't for him just fooling around on something that cool, you probably would have no idea that it even existed. Most ppl have no idea what the blues is all about so stop pretending you do. Enjoy it for what it is and leave it at that.

  • Jack White DID NOT invent the lap slide, nor the didley bow, not blues playing, distortion or reverb....why do folks give that guy so much credit for everything that came YEARS before he ever was even an itch in his daddy's pants...if folks actually dug a bit deeper into musical history they might see that White isn't doing anything new at all

  • How did you get the pickup to go to a 1/4" csble

  • Did you buy the pickup or take it off an old guitar or make it yourself? If you took it off an old guitar how did you do it?

  • @mattluvsvox921 Actually it's called a "one string" and pre-dates all this stuff. Many of the old blues guy built / played these down in the Mississippi delta blues tradition. Many of them were originally built on porch posts vertically. I'm not sure who electrified one the first time so that might have been Bo.

  • Why is everyone so opposed to referring to this with Jack White's name in it because he didn't come up with it? Everyone here seems to know so much about the Diddley Bow, yet they seem entirely content to attribute it to Bo Diddley. His name is not really Bo Diddley, but rather a stage name that he came up with. When he came up with this stage name, it was after the Diddley Bow was in full use among a number of people playing the blues on porches and family gatherings. Diddley Bow --> Bo Diddley
