There really wasn't much of a change. Bush did all this and it continued. It didn't mater who won the presidency. This economy was going to shit. I am smart enough to see my old party has no use for women anymore and the other guys ask for my vote. Bye suckers! lesson for next try: votes are to be earned, not ordered.

except mccain chose an inexperienced woman with a pretty face to be the woman of choice (when there are a lot more qualified women to choose from). i thought women were figthing to be taken seriously, and not as mere trophies or tokens.
but maybe mccain is right; he can win over some women with a good gimmick. the proof if in the pudding.

Most women are smart enough to see the pandering the McCain campaign is engaging in with this choice. In fact, if I were a woman I would be completely insulted and feel it was very chauvinistic to expect me to vote for a candidate just because she was a woman.
Most women who supported Hillary for president did so because they agreed with her positions on issues, and were thrilled that it could be a woman that became the next president.

Sure, there will be some women who will now vote for McCain because he put Palin on the ticket, but most of them are the angry PUMAs who were probably going McCain's way anyway. They are the ones who hate Obama so much because he won the primary, that they don't even care that Hillary and Bill say to vote for Obama for the benefit of the country. To them, it WAS about putting a woman, any woman, in the Oval Office, because obviously Hillary's issues aren't important to them anymore.
