House at 1:00 is in Duncannon. 2nd structure as you pass over the bridge going into town Via Market street. The beer distributor is seen a 1:30. I see my house at minutes 1:44 Well at least the roof of it anyway. Great video!! thanks for sharing!
House at 20 seconds is heading north on 11 and 15 just prior to going up the big hill headed towards Duncannon. it is on the left, railroad tracks on the right
I was 5 yrs old at the time of the flood, i remebered it very well. I lived outside of Muncy. The only place that got flooded around my house was the corn field and the basement. My dad was a member of the Pennsdale Vol. Fire dept. came and pumped out the basement. At the time I kept throwing things down the stairs to see a aplash. My parents took us kids to see the flood. I wanted to go swiming, i had a towl with me. I don't remeber the damage. But only i seen the pictures of it later.
I was 16 when that happened , i am 55 now it was very scary..there were bodies floating down the schukill river , saw homes floating too..i can remember when they said blue marsh was the big fix...i don see how ..right now it is flooding just as bad as it did in 1972
Amazing footage! I was just a few days shy of my 12th birthday when Agnes hit, and I remember her very well. Luck for us, only our basement was flooded, but some of my relatives in low lying areas, didn't fare well at all.
read The Luzerne County Railroad and it is an amazing story!! The actions the judge took in favor of his former law firm partner and lunch buddy were beyond belief. With all of the newspaper coverage your case had, it is obvious that shedding light on corruption is not enough! The articles from the Citizen's Voice and the Times Leader pictured in your book made it clear that the reporters were shocked and amazed by the judge's shenanigans. Larry, thanks for writing an incredible book!
thx to whoever put this on youtube. I was 9 yrs old in '72 but remember the flood very well b/c i'de never seen so much flooding & muddy water b4. We lived near a creek and it turned into a lake.
I am glad you posted this, but I could not tell where these areas are. It would be helpful to post labels occassionally so we could see which shot is from Marysvile and which is from West Fairview etc.

If you have anymore footage, I would love to see it. I can't find much of anything on the web. Thanks for posting.
