  • how come the black lines under the track don't come up for me?

  • Hi...dunno if this was asked yet or mentioned, but, Launchpad version of Live does not seem to have a drum rack.... Can it be added?

  • @homelingnomore did you found out? cause im wondering the same...`?

  • @MrJonex225 Well from what I've found, there is a good amount missing from the Launchpad version vs the Suite version. However, you can add alot of 3rd party free stuff to make of for this. Do a search of free vst plugins.

  • @homelingnomore okay... is the suite version free? so i could just dowload it...?

  • @MrJonex225 Its far from free. Check Ableton's site

  • @homelingnomore but when i want to add an empty drum rack? can i search for a plugin for the too?

  • Hi...dunno if this was asked yet or mentioned, but, Launchpad version of Live does not seem to have a drum rack.... Can it be added?

  • I want Prime Loops Drum Addict :(

  • @Ex7a5y "nvm found it" ... well done! its quite easy to find something when you are given directions 10 times isnt it.

  • @Ex7a5y Yes it does?

  • Gr8 tutorials!!!!.

Question: do you use ableton to perform? if so, what's your set and how do like using it as an actual instrument??? ( maybe a lil vid using your setup)

  • awesome work. helped me alot. bought your album!

  • how u get the midi clips with their names on it?great vid' ;D

  • like it!! rly helpfully thnx buddy!!

  • Thanks.

    Great stuff

  • Thanks for the tuts man, don't stop!

  • @eArtrash How come every time i drag a sample into the drum rack it cuts off half the samples?!?!.. for example, half a snare drum

  • @9t9t3 It's doesnt. its just you are playing the notes too short. either increase your midi notes - or increase your decay and release settings on your drum rack.

  • hahah the hitler smiley

  • I use FL Studio to do Dubstep

  • hahahaha such a class tutorial! "i think casio should stick to making watches"

loved it and learned a lot, cheers man

  • @Joe0994 haha yeah I lol'd but they did make 2 or 3 of the best synths ever

  • @JDALIVETUBE wow, really? what synths

  • @Joe0994 CZ-101, PT-1 and a few others they were all popular in the 80s

  • Thanks so much dude, finally a tutorial you can actually follow! subbed:)

  • Your epic bro I sub :3

  • Great tutorial, extremely easy to follow.

I would recommend listing any 3rd-party VST's/plug-ins in the description, that way the viewers know ahead of time what you're working with.

...That way, we could know what to "buy"... ;)

  • @Alhumidity i didnt use any vsts :/

  • @eArtrash Right. In this case, I would be reffering to that 3rd-party loop-pack, from Prime Loops.

    Nice tutorial nevertheless!

  • @Alhumidity I stated in the video what sample pack I used...and there is a link in the description..what more can I do? :/

  • @eArtrash alright bro, take it easy there. Just calm down ;)

  • @Alhumidity Welcome to blockville.

  • greaaat !

  • I think casio should stick to making watching, torlolo :D

  • when I copy and insert the samples I create they sound much more quietly then in the loop. How do I adjust the sound or the "impact" of my kicks and snares that I sampled from the loop? Thanks a lot for your tutorials, already subscribed

  • @Arthurrello Have a look at the velocity setting on the sampler/simpler. i think it is abbreviated as 'vel' and is to the right hand side. Increasing that will increase the samplers sensitivity to the velocity data within your patterns. Thanks for subscribing

  • @eArtrash I don't really see that the only velocity I know is the one in the bottom that you can pull up and down. What is the sampler/simpler ( I am really sorry I am very new to this and don't know the exact terms yet ) I tried increasing the db in the sampler menu when before grouping them and after I grouped them I can increase the db again. i dont think thats the right way to do it but it worked somehow. PLease help.

  • @Arthurrello The sampler/simpler is the instruments that play your drum sounds in the rum racks. The velocity levels which you speak off will not work unless you increase the velocity slider on the simpler. If you are still struggling try searching for ' ableton velocity simpler '

  • @Arthurrello Better still, watch this --> /watch?v=v2pj6AtN56s that should cover it for you. also sub him and tell him I sent you. ;)

  • @eArtrash thank you very much for all your kind help. I will tell him that. Greets,

C u soon for more questions probably :)

  • awesome video! these are really helpful

  • I'm noticing the views drop by each video, I understand its a lot of video to sit through, so subscribe and watch in stages :)

  • @eArtrash Don't stop please, I need to learn to produce in the shortest time possible. Ur awesome don't stop posting, post everything you know you are amazing

  • tight beat u got there

  • The minute I heard "It's a bit long.. That's what she said" I stopped everything I was doing and liked/subscribed. You sir have talent while still having a sense of humor, thank you for existing.

  • Insanely Helpful!!!! Thanks!

  • lol i love the quick slide in of the thats what she said joke lol

  • For the love of God; there's no torrent for the Drum Addict :'(

  • wat website iz dhis?

  • just gave you your 150th like! thank you sirrr!

  • I tried downloading the roland classic drum machine samples and it wouldn't work?

  • Awesome vid

  • @rhymeshot Thanks :]

  • when i double click the drum rack nothing happens?

  • @sloana9191 Try click+dragging it into a MIDI track instead.

  • sharing your knowledge is appreciated - many thanks. great vids - quick and to the point

  • i think casio should stick to makin watches !!! hahahaha

  • you have probably covered this in your other videos but are there any effects with ableton that you think helps to add to that dubstep sound. reverb corpus etc?

  • @transplants125 Yeah mate, part 2 does pretty much that. :]

  • hahahhaaha 00:42

  • thanks for the tutorials, very helpful!

  • 2:40 "It's a bit long... That's what she said"

    lmao

    great tutorials!

  • great tutorial learned alot

  • Is this possible to do on the launchpad version of Ableton?

  • @ace101guy If it has drum racks - yes.

  • Hi, any tips for better sounding, because comparing to another DAW Ableton sound really flat and plastic?

  • @Bobodigital ableton sound isnt that bad its still the best for producing

  • @Bobodigital It's all about 'how' you use it..it is a myth that certain DAWs have better sound than others. However, there are a few things you can do to increase abletons sound quality and I will make a video on them after this series.

  • @eArtrash: I disagree it's a myth that certain DAWs sound better than others. When comparing a track recorded and produced in Ableton and one in Pro Tools I can immediately hear the difference. In my opinion Ableton sounds better. The best sounding DAW in my opinion in Logic. I have over ten yrs of professional audio engineering and mixing experience so I'm not just rambling here.

  • should stick to makes watches haha

  • That's what she said..

  • Great!!

    Thank you very much!

I already saw your "making a wooble bassline", ooohh wonderful!!

  • @AntProphet de nada :]

  • Been waiting for this! Looking forward to the rest of the series for sure.

  • @MarkoCindric Thanks Marko! Part 2 should be up tomorrow! :]
