  • wow!...where'd he go?

  • where is this i wanna try lol

  • That was awesome, brings back some great memories....I was there also, as part of the AJ Hackett crew.......I actually was given the honour of being the very first jumper to test everything out(some say honour, I say I was the only expendable one on the crew) great job, have you done any other big jumps since?

  • @semy11 You guys did a great job -- especially when the winch broke. Sadly, I haven't done any big jumps since then (just a small one near Whistler, Canada).

  • Imagine if the other guys behind the camer shouted: Wait, Don't jump!!!

  • Real men bungie jump with a chain

  • @jeffyweis .....around their balls ;)

  • I came into this world because of a broken rubber, i'm not leaving because of one.

  • im suprised the size of your testicles had no influence on your trajectory 8/

  • lol if the cable snapped that would hurt

  • That Is freakin bad ass BRother!!!! I just posted a video of the hike up to "the bridge to nowhere" jump in california.. I'm thinking of attempting it next year.. I'm frightened by heights.

  • how the fuck is he supposedd to get up again?

    D:

  • I didn't! After bouncing up and down for a while, I was hanging upside down about a hundred feet above the ground. I pulled a rope out of a sack around my waist, and lowered it to people on the ground, who reeled me in - all the while swinging side to side like a giant pendulum.

  • @GlitchDetector

    hes not

  • SHIT.....didnt even see the ground...

  • woooo looks amazingly fun!!!!! :D man I wouldn't even have the breath to scream on that...

  • Do you have to have any prior bungee jumping experience before you can jump this bridge? I know it's only available during the go fast games but can any average joe do it. I go skydiving pretty often and I wanna try bungee jumping and I figure jumping off the highest bridge in North America is a good way to start lol

  • There seem to be different operators in different years. When I went, they asked a lot of questions about experience, but still allowed a first time jumper (a newspaper man) to give it a try.

  • @excessineverything Was there an age requirement? I'm 17, and I REALLY want to try that!

  • Anyone know how much it costs for a jump? Mabie 2?

  • It cost 400 dollars in 2008.

  • I've got to try that.

  • Holy shit!

  • my legs like turned to water as i saw him go down

  • I'd uh...spit then jump.

  • That would suck if the cord snaped in half

  • beauty!!!

  • holy shit, they should do base jumping there too

  • great !!! It´s amazing 320,95 m!!! I want do that !!!

  • god damn, that;s high!

  • I would do it with a parachute attached, just in case.

  • @ultima3210 Once you notice something is wrong it would have been too late to open the parachute cause you will be too far down

  • @ultima3210 LOL

  • @ultima3210 you do realize that if your cord breaks, you would only find out when its too late. probably about a half a second to get your mind together and pull the string

  • @ultima3210 wouldnt have mattered. At that close to the ground, and at your acceleration, your chute would come out maybe 100 feet from the ground by the time you noticed anything was wrong. By the point you would still splatter against the ground, or hit the water as though it were concrete.

  • @ultima3210 FYI: You would need to open the parachute shortly after jumping off the platform so it has enough time to open, meaning before the bungee cord catches you or not...

  • @ultima3210 that would be pointless

  • Your eyes are what's fake.

  • tasty, Test out my jump from 45 stories up in Germany, Harvs' place.

  • It's 1,053 feet from the bridge surface to the water below.

  • OMG, how mant meters/feet is this?

  • 320,95 m

  • 0:30 test

  • where is this place?

  • make fun of me if you will, but i've never gone bungee jumping or have even seen someone do it besides tv and things so, i was wondering, how do you get down from it? Do they pull you back up or lower you to the ground...sorry so sound unintelligent but i'm curious.

  • Methods vary. For this jump, I had a secondary rope (maybe 100 feet long) coiled in a bag around my waist. After I had bobbed up and down a few times (still upside down), I lowered the rope to people waiting below, who hauled me in. For some jumps, people are hauled back up. For still others, where there's a sufficiently deep river below, they're lowered near the river, than can disconnect and dive in.

  • some sites will pull you back up. Others will lower you to the ground - some even put you into a boat on the river.

  • shit wat if the shoes fall of

  • thats a super tall jump...i've done 300 or so feet...but that looks freakin awesome...looks like a good 10 sec free fall...thats kind of what you get on a tandem skydive jump...5 stars

  • Uhm, no. You get around 50 sec on an average (tandem) freefall. You reach terminal velocity after around 10sec, but that doesn't mean you're not falling anymore...

  • Free fall in a skydive lasts about a minute if you jump out from around 15,000 feet which I believe is pretty standard. The thrill of this one is being so close to the ground.

  • It must have been even scarier building that bridge.

  • oh yes. that free fall looks great bet his head hurt after that. rope must have weighed a bit though.

  • ummm no thanks

  • oh snap

  • oh 'snap' literally. LMFAO what if it did 'snap'.

  • he would die...?

  • Lol... Well no kidding. :P

  • wow that looks really freakin sscary

  • waoooooooooooo awesome man, i would luv to do that

  • awsome man that looks fun !!

  • mate, that's scary.

  • i wanna do it!

  • As Pussy boy as this is going to sound,I could'nt watch it all the way through and I applaud enormously ANYONE who has the balls to jump from that height,....Jesus,...just watching you on the end made my stomach turn...I'd have paid the extra $400 for them to drag me back to a sane safe place,lol.....VERY impressed by the bravery though I have to say!!!!

  • hell yeah

  • man that was just tooooooooooooo... high no fucking way you get me to jump from that height (sorry for bad englisch)

  • Okay here are some results, looks like you might have paid around $400 (TOTALLY WORTH IT) for that jump. The highest I was able to find was Perrine Bridge, ID,487 feet, cost $100. Considering your rebounds were almost that much, man do I feel jealous right now. I have only a handful of skydives under my belt which means BASE jumping is out of the question, I sooooo wanna do something like you did for my first bungee. Anyway thanks a lot for sharing, I'd highly appreciate any info you can give.

  • Also here is the website which mentions some stuff others might be interested in. Feel free to add:

    overtheedgebungeeDOTcom

I wish they have another such event, I might contact them to see if they are planning for one anytime soon.

  • aahaan, thanks, I just wanted to have an idea.

  • Let me begin by congratulating you.

Having read most of the comments I am so sad its not as easy to do as I would have liked. I am on to check the gofast website etc.

If you don't mind, excluding the travel and lodging etc, how much did it cost you for the jump alone? And which is the highest commercial bungee operation that you know of (in the US)? Helicopter etc doesn't sound all too attractive I'd rather skydive.

  • I don't remember the exact cost, but your above estimate of $400 is probably close. My recollection is that I paid slightly more, but it included park admission, food, video, t-shirt, and a couple of other items.

  • Fuck that shit man

  • Holy shitttt

  • *snap* what was that?!? lmfao!

  • Just Perfect.....i am jealous......

  • Yeah, you can suck me to sleep. Not a fucking chance on Earth you'd get me to hop off that platform. Fuuuuuuuuuuuck that.

  • Bungee jumping out of a helicopter sounds dangerous! Wouldn't that make the helicopter lose control?!

  • damn, not far from the cliffs, looks dangerous!

    but its awesome!

  • its fucking coool i did the nevis bungy in nz and it was terrific (it 134m highet) that this one is soo coooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • how high is that?

  • Description..

  • that's a big ass fall dude... xD

  • thats high.

  • That's a fucking crazy bungee jump.

It would suck though if the bungee snapped while you were doing that jump.

  • just imagin what is going through his head XD as he jumps and goes: i changed my mind!!!!!!! lmao

  • where is it?

  • im going to jump at that place for sure!!! amazing!!

  • i would REALLY want to do that but i would be freakin scared...

  • id jsust do that 2 hav the privalige of a 20 second long scream

  • That is insane.

    Yet amazing.

  • it's my dream to jump there

it's the time when you can feel really free

  • It was scary just watching that shit.

  • I want to do this!!

  • good god... O_O

  • it would be awsome but yeah youd shit yourself any human would first time

  • i just did that about 2 weeks ago.

    Yep, you are right.

I was so scared that my pants got wet and now there is a river flowing down below the bridge.

  • WHAT IF the rope was too long and he got sqwooshed. ooor the rope snapped. If that was me i'd either:

    Shat myself

    or... um... Shat myself!

  • snap

  • I...don't do well with heights...

  • that looks too friggen scary

  • O M Goddy..

  • If i ever do this, I'd do it thinking that I'd die !

  • i thought he would die

  • I agree with sheida666, i'd do this in a heartbeat!

  • what if he smacked his head against the cliff?

  • then sumthing called death happens

  • LOL

  • ROFL

  • Orly?

    whats that?

  • i hope you all know im kidding.

  • That looks like soooo much fun!!!!

  • That's great!!!

  • that would suck big time if the rope snapped!:(

  • that'd be so scary o.o

  • fking crazy dude!

  • Hiha, that's the bungee which I desire to do. :)

  • omg!! respect this guy. the one i did was 160 feet :/ this one is like 8 times higher

  • that must have been so fun, i'm jealous, my jump freefall only lasted 3 seconds

  • Its insane .. why do this? Seems to be quite big chance to die ... Stupid thing ..

  • Chances for dying are small! What does it matter anyway? Everybody dies:D

  • A chance to die means a chance to live. I can tell you never lived yet. I'm going to London and driving all the way to Milan hitting all the countries touching France. If I do find this place I'm going to do this and post it on Youtube. Learn to live.

  • that's just insane, i did one myself but that one looks way scarier than mine

  • Intense.. I want to do that.. But I'm just paranoid about the cord breaking that's all..

  • OMG! The cameraman's floating! :O

  • Haha that's amazing!> ^^

  • tomorrow we made this at school...im so nervous.I dont wanna die.. x(

  • i would have a heart attack.

  • that was fuckin radical !

  • headrush

  • O.o i would sick

  • holy fuck

  • thats fuken crazyyyyyyy, must be kinda like peaaceful, like slo motion- but thats reallly highhh, like ud think ud just die of aheart attack on the way down

  • that is insane id so do it if god made the cord...but the cord is man made and they can break so ill pass.

  • are u shitting me i pissed myself watching this video

  • Hanging there for that long seems worse than jumping.

  • like 10mins

  • How long does it take for them to pull you back up?

  • Pulling you up would be too difficult. Instead, each jumper is given a pouch with a one hundred foot long rope. After you jump (and stop bouncing around), you open the pouch, lower the rope, and people on the ground haul you in. I've left out a few minor steps (e.g., they also have to disconnect the bungy at the top, and use a secondary rope to lower you some more), but that's the general idea. The whole process takes 5 or 10 minutes.

  • geee it would suck if you dropped the rope

  • WOW.. big jump there!!

  • that would be so badass xept id be scared shitless lol

  • were is this i wanna do it

  • id do that 4 the craic !

  • Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee,

  • The sound of the wind gives the chills!!! But where is this location?

  • It is The Royal Gorge Bridge in Colorado.

  • imagine him beating you up while jumping

  • hey whos holding the other end of the rope?

  • imagine it breaking

  • AAAAA

  • that some serious bungee jumping

  • fuuuuu*k!! Totaly crazy!! YEAH!

  • OMG!!!!

  • dats scar watchin lol

  • Fuk dat!!

  • The Go fast games 2008 is from 19th to 21st september, I think. Where and how can I make a reservation for a jump? I can't find any info about it. Great video by the way.

  • It's tough to get info. As a first step, contact Go Fast Sports. I had to repeatedly email them to get a response, and even then it took until June or July before details were available.

  • What's the e-mail address you used?

  • I think I used gofastgames07 at gofasteventcompany dot com.

  • i'd hate to be he guy to film that...

  • wow man wow

  • Damn.

  • can u or will u ever do that again in ur life

  • I might, but it would have to be offered by a company that I trust. In 2005, AJ Hackett was the company, and I trust them. In 2007, I didn't know the company that offered it - maybe they were good, but I wouldn't chance it!
