  • Beautiful Mr Carter. Thank you very much for sharing your art with me. x

  • I have had the privilege of training with both Ken Dempsey (see Chee Soo's Feng Shou book) and Keith Ewer's, both were different, both were/are billiant. I love this man's tai chi, it's clearly very internal. It doesn't matter so much to me on the exactness of his interpretation but on the quality. The martial elements are intrinsic to the form. The whole point of being successful in comabt is not 'telegraphing' the intent of each move, that's what makes Tai Chi so beautiful and so deadly.

  • Paul's been practicing Tai Chi as a martial art for nearly 30 years, apparently he's had proof that it works on many occasions; a claim that I can confirm when practicing with him as a student. There's rarely one true way to achieve any goal, and the Form itself isn't, and in my opinion shouldn't be, a static thing. Unfortunately, There's been a lot of name dropping in some very dogmatic comments, which I confess I find somewhat depressing.

  • try and search for TAOIST ARTS ORGANISATION, the organisation lead by TONY SWANSON

then you will see what the LI STYLE is meant to do.

Where is the martial aspect in this video ??

  • for god's sake...

don't practice this ... it couldn't be worse.. what about tai chi being a martial art???

this stuff is never ever going to work

thanks StefanBilleb!! you're right, Tony wouldn't be happy!!

  • Thank you for your comments. SwamiOrchestra, I'm interested to know what you mean by "doesn't work", in what sense? I'm also intrigued to know what Tony Swanson thought.

  • You must be kidding. This is really awful. Where are the basics of the lee family style. It looks like 50 moves and not like a form. I should send this to master Tony Swanson:((((((

  • This is excellent for learning a lot of wrong movements. f.e. watch soulders lift, watch hips breakout in postures. This doesn´t work.

  • nice, I like Lee Chi, it looks great. I study various martial arts and must say I am impressed, it is the only martail art I found that isnt afraid to say that the arts are 14,000 years old, thats correct folks 14,000 years old. Have you yourself got any info on this, as I only found 1 page in a lee chi book documenting this wonderful legend.

Thanks and keep up the cool work.

  • @klayto7 read it again, it says 'nearly 3000 years old'

  • @markpop42 , I have researched this style back in the mid 90's and the book says 12,000 B.C, its a book by Chee Soo, and has the full Lee style form in it. And I read it all back to back. Your information is incorrect not mine, go find the book and read it for yourself.

  • @klayto7 you have a rare book there (I don't discount the possibility). My book is right here, signed inside the front cover by Chee Soo himself. It says 'originally created by Ho Hsieh Lee around 1000BC, so this style is nearly 3000 years old.' (my book is printed in 1984)

  • @markpop42 READ THE CONTEXT, of my 1st submission it says, very clearly, "it is the only martial art I found that isn"t afraid to say that the arts (meaning martial) are 14,000 years old". The book isn't that rare, and it does not say that Lee Chi is that old. It would appear, seems as you replied back, that you are the only person that doesn't understand how to read context correctly. Additional, for all you smart people out there, ancient Greece also has records that date back 12,000bc

  • Excellent! I've just started Lee Style Tai Chi and this will be an excellent video for practice at home! Thanks
